TERRIER1 Posted August 27, 2018 #1 Share Posted August 27, 2018 I will be flying NYC to Toulouse with a connection in CDG Paris. Can anyone advise how much time I will need for the connection? Does the luggage pass all the through to Touoluse? Will I have to change terminal at CDG? Thanks.
Rare terry&mike Posted August 27, 2018 #2 Share Posted August 27, 2018 In CDG I usually try to have 1.5 hours or more to transit. From your routing, I'm guessing you are Air France and/or Delta. Your luggage will pass through (assuming you are on one ticket all the way from NY to Toulouse) to Toulouse. You will need to change terminals. In CDG this is done by a shuttle bus system, and depending on the time of day, can take a while. There are often long walks that eat up a lot of time in CDG also. fbgd Posted August 27, 2018 #3 Share Posted August 27, 2018 Of note, if you are in La Premiere on the segments to/from NYC, you will be met planeside and driven to the lounge, then taken back to the aircraft. You should get an escort upon arrival at TLS too.
HawksFan74 Posted August 27, 2018 #4 Share Posted August 27, 2018 When booking this itinerary, be careful to make sure that the flights actually connect at CDG. I see several on Google Flights that involve a transfer from CDG to ORY.

I see several on Google Flights that involve a transfer from CDG to ORY. I only see JFK to CDG to Toulouse. There are flights from JFK that go direct to Orly and connect to Toulouse, I don;t see any that go to CDG then switch to Orly for the flight to Toulouse. Am I misreading the flight connections? Thanks.

Am I misreading the flight connections? There are itineraries involving inter-airport connections in both directions, ie JFK-CDG//ORY-TLS and JFK-ORY//CDG-TLS. You want to watch out for these and avoid them if you can.
waterbug123 Posted August 28, 2018 #8 Share Posted August 28, 2018 Unless you are very familiar with CDG, I would look for at least 2 hours and more would be even better. Last year I transited CDG both coming and going on a trip to Italy. One connection was right at an hour, and the other was about 1:15. I made it, but I had no extra time and it was rather stressful. (The 1 hour did not even give me time for a restroom stop) Lines were not particularly long, and I'm a frequent flyer and have been through CDG several times prior so had an idea what to expect.
