The forklift in Juneau, known as "Big Bertha" ;pis generally used for securing mooring lines and then to hook up the shore-side (not ship's) gangway. FYI, this pic was taken prior to the latest modifications to the two docks in Juneau

There is a bald eagle perched close to the webcam and mike. You can hear him/her making that "clucking sound" once in a while

It's September already and the Alaska season in winding down. We have a total of only 17 more days with HAL ships in Juneau.
