cbowls30 Posted February 18, 2019 #1 Share Posted February 18, 2019 Booked 14 nights marella celebration. Any other cruise line this would be back 2 back cruise so we'd expect some repartition on the entertainment, is this also case on marella because we appear to of booked back 2 back - two Carribbean itineraries but we simply don't get off halfway through Thanks
Malch_uk Posted February 18, 2019 #2 Share Posted February 18, 2019 On a 14 night cruise you usually get 12 different shows and 2 "comedians" so may be same on 2x7 night b2b.
Vitalsign Posted February 18, 2019 #3 Share Posted February 18, 2019 (edited) It will be as Malch uk says - they don't repeat on back2backs nor even on a 3 week repositioning cruise Celebration is an old but small very friendly ship so be prepared as you've cruised previously on larger ships Edited February 18, 2019 by Vitalsign

SellaVee Posted February 23, 2019 #6 Share Posted February 23, 2019 We’re just off Celebration and also booked 14 nights that turned out to be 2x7, b2b. The first night's show "Walking on Sunshine" is only on once, at 10pm, (and is repeated the following week), probably because the entertainment staff are involved in "manning the lifeboats" at the 9pm safety drill, and passengers who’ve arrived that evening are tired. The rest of the time there was a different show every night. On 2 nights there was a comedian from the UK, a different chap each week, but some of the same jokes! Each of them did 2 shows on the night they were on, then later in the week an 11.15pm show. The entertainment team do the rest and each one is different. davecttr Posted February 23, 2019 #7 Share Posted February 23, 2019 I have read elsewhere that the show team rehearse 12 different shows, quiet a feat to remember all those! In the 'olden days' they used to do an afternoon play on sea days as well
SellaVee Posted February 23, 2019 #8 Share Posted February 23, 2019 They still do an afternoon play on sea days but it clashes with the choir class they offer! In fact it clashes with quite a few things.

He was from an acting background. Brilliant Cruise Director. Wonder what he's doing now.
