timf264 Posted March 3, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 3, 2019 Hey casino players!! I'll be going on the Celebrity Edge next month! It's my first time on celebrity and I"m booked through urcomped. My confirmation e-mail from my host says free casino drinks. I"ve also read some daily's that say free drinks in the casino too. My wife and I usually drink wine. Does anyone have a menu of what's included in the casino? Anyone booked through urcomped actually get the perks of a normal booking? Drink package, onboard credit, etc.? Thanks for your help! timf264 Posted March 4, 2019 Author #2 Share Posted March 4, 2019 What Red Wines are included while playing in the casino? Also, if I purchase a drink package do both of us in the cabin have to purchase? Thanks!

EVERYONE who sits down at a slot/table and plays gets bottom level free drinks, just like the bottom level drink package. as a urcomped guest, you get the bottom level drink package. how's that different from just playing in the casino you ask? well, you can goto the casino bar yourself and order a drink instead of from the waiter. 1 water and 1 alcoholic drink or 2 waters per order. dont know how long between orders that you can order again Edited March 4, 2019 by fstuff1
timf264 Posted March 4, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted March 4, 2019 Awesome! Thank you for your help! I called celebrity and they didn't see me linked to a drink package? Is it just good for in the casino and I'm able to go up to the bar? Or do they let you know when you get there :) I appreciate your time. I'm a celebrity first timer and can't wait to go on the edge? How was the casino?

Or do they let you know when you get there :) I appreciate your time. I'm a celebrity first timer and can't wait to go on the edge? How was the casino? ahh.. let me rephrase: your urcomped bottom level drink BENEFIT is only good at the casino bar. the casino bartenders have a list of who the casino comped guests are, as well as all the players with high tier level that also have a casino drink benefit. avoid the slots on the Edge casino: https://boards.cruisecritic.com/topic/2641062-edge-slot-machines-are-set-only-to-85-return/ VP is set at an awful 96%. ie: 6/5 ddb, even at the $5 level! there's 6:5 and 3:2 blackjack. AVOID the 6:5 version. dealer hits on soft 17. craps is 3/4/5x odds. you can't tell what your Tier points are. what's displayed on the slot machine screen is your redeemable points, which can be redeemed for free slot play. as a rule of thumb, if you just play slots then multiply redeemable points by 5 = tier points. if you just play vp, the multiple by 10. no idea how to estimate tier points from table play. 😞 its stupid that in 2019 it's not easy to know how many tier points you have. i'm going to call Celebrity's Blue Chip Club to find out how many points i have. it would really piss me off if im short 100 points from making the next tier level! timf264 Posted March 20, 2019 Author #9 Share Posted March 20, 2019 Thanks for your help!! Were you able to walk up to the casino bar or have to wait on a cocktail server? Mostly wine drinkers so we aren't concerned about top shelf liquors.

It is my understanding, that we will be able to walk up to the bar to order drinks, as URComped guests. Otherwise, it is my understanding, that everybody that is "Actively playing" gets these drinks. But, they must order from a server in the casino, unless they have "Earned a tier rank" level that entitles them to free drinks.
timf264 Posted March 20, 2019 Author #11 Share Posted March 20, 2019 Enjoy Fire EMT! We Sail out April 7th. I'll be interested to hear how it goes with the drinks in the casino! My girlfriend doesn't drink alcohol. We got her the Premium NA drink package. I'm in the same boat as you. I don't want to buy a drink package. But, I stay up late, like my Miller Lite, and the casino is closed at Midnight I believe. It might just be cheaper for me to buy drinks out of pocket. Any drink tips you can give me from your cruise time in the casino? What's offered for free? Hope you won some $$! Hey Tim, The ship was beautiful, food was fantastic, slots were TIGHT. This was late at night on the 2nd night. The host Demi, was friendly. But, after dumping a lot of money into the slots, I decided to take the rest of the night off from gambling. You know, pace your bankroll to have enough left for the rest of the days left on the cruise. When sitting in the casino bar with some friends for a while. He came in, and made a comment about sitting in the bar instead of the casino. Then, he talked to the individual casino bartenders and servers. After that, their demeanor changed completely. Because of the limited beers and drinks that were included in the "Casino" package, and this interaction. I decided to "Upgrade" my girlfriends premium non-alcoholic drink package, to the "Classic" package that included alcohol. Lot's of Miller Lite, Michelob Ultra (when I ran the bar out of ML), and strawberry daiquiris. So, I said screw it, and decided to just get whatever I wanted, whenever and wherever I wanted. Then, we just bought whatever my girlfriend wanted to drink. The servers and bartenders were good though. William is definitely the best, and friendliest bartender in the casino bar. Note: You cannot get free drinks anytime the casino is closed. Like any other casino drink packages. But, the casino bar is actually attached to the fore end of the casino, and remains open all the normal bar hours. Which was nice. Rare hcat Posted April 1, 2019 #15 Share Posted April 1, 2019 How do you get the ur comped perks? Is that just for drinks or is it for a free cruise.... if it is, that sounds nice. What type of cabin? What other perks are included? If you do not keep playing, they treat you differently? Just curious...thanks

Just curious...thanks hcat, Typically, you will receive any and all kinds of free drinks in the ships casino when you are on your first URComped sailing with a new line. But, Celebrity had an EXTREMELY limited list of beers, and house brands, that you could get complimentary. Even the water was a dilemma. And, everybody gambling on the Edge, receives the same complimentary drinks. URComoped is great. We had an Oceanview Veranda cabin #9110. If you are a "player" that gets any "sailback" offers from any cruise lines casino department, those are what will determine your "Initial" cabin offerings. They will also tell you what your "Expected bankroll" should be. After you sail through URComped, your play will be rated, and sent back to them to help them determine your future offers. They have opened up several cruises to us, that we would have not experienced otherwise. They are great to work with. Unfortunately, due to the TIGHT slots on this Edge cruise, I'm afraid it may lower my offers from "Balcony" offers, to "Oceanview" offers. Still, well worth working with them. FireEMT978 Posted April 1, 2019 #20 Share Posted April 1, 2019 Tim, I don't believe you'll have any problem with that. Here's a list of what is included as the "Standard" package. This is what the casino gives free. But, without the 20% service fee. I just tip $1/drink. Standard Package $49 USD/per night* Enjoy all the spirits listed in the Standard Package. Demi, actually seemed like a decent host. But he went to the end of the bar, and spoke to them one by one. Then, unless we made a point to chase them down, they would ignore us. I ended this cruise with just over 3000 points. Those are the ones that show on the slot screens. So, I believe that would equate to $15,000 coin-in. As for the water, I had asked for Evian in the bottles for my girlfriend. The package she had bought included those. We had to have a discussion regarding that issue. But, Michael resolved it fairly easily with all of the other servers and bar staff in the casino bar area. It was confusion on the staffs part. Michael was by far the best server that I dealt with.
