Mazatlan stop?

In Mazatlan you walk off the ship and get onto a "people mover" to get to the exit of the port.

Then you cross the street and walk on the blue line(literally painted on the street) and follow it to the main square. There are volunteers along the way to point you in the right direction and answer questions but it is quite easy to walk there.

From there you can visit the church, covered market, get a golfcart taxi to see other parts of the city etc.

I am often traveling with some mobility challenged friends, so we take the golf cart/taxi to the Cathedral instead of walking it.  From there, we walk to the central market, and then take another golf cart to El Zona Dorado (Golden Zone) so we can walk among the beach resorts, jewelry stores, restaurants, …

We went left out the front gate and walked 1/8 th of a mile and caught the water taxi to Stone Island, 2 bucks a piece round trip.

walked down beach where there were many café/bars with chairs all down the beach, great day with cervesa, and good mex food and great local people.

A good place to go unless you want big resorts.

We bought a few little things from local vendors. it was a good day

see it on google earth
