BLAMBKY Posted March 23, 2019 #1 Share Posted March 23, 2019 I have only booked within 90 days from cruise, once with Celebrity. I am considering doing it next summer for Alaskan cruise. For those who have used this sale to book, what was your experience? Pros/cons/helpful tips?
Clarea Posted March 23, 2019 #2 Share Posted March 23, 2019 We've booked cruises on the GGG sale a few times. The process was the same as booking cruises that were not on the GGG sale.
Biker19 Posted March 23, 2019 #3 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Look on the weekend before the sale - sometimes the same or even better deal available. 1
BLAMBKY Posted March 23, 2019 Author #4 Share Posted March 23, 2019 With GGG are you able to pick your cabin or is it like guaranteed booking? Do you go through cruiseline only or can you go through your TA to get any additional perks?
kccrzr Posted March 23, 2019 #5 Share Posted March 23, 2019 Sometimes it is guaranty and sometimes pick your own room. Just need to look at each offer. Also, if you see something you like book immediately as the rooms on going going gone do sell out sometimes before the stated end of the sale period.

There’s nothing special about booking GGG - all the rules apply including perks from TA.

SRV FAN Posted July 14, 2019 #8 Share Posted July 14, 2019 How do you actually book these sales to get the sale price? Is there a special site to use to get the sale prices? Or book online thru the website, call C&A, call Royal? What is the process? TIA

TIA Just book normally, the sale prices will be on Royal's website and also available to travel agents.

Rare twangster Posted July 14, 2019 #11 Share Posted July 14, 2019 The only difference is that sometimes GGG is only offered after final payment due date so you have to pay in full to book and you are instantly in penalty if you have to cancel or change. The NRD $100 "change" fee rule doesn't apply, any changes are subject to the cancellation charges that apply to all cruises after final payment due date. Upon booking you are pretty much fully committed. Don't book them if you can't commit with certainty.
