WIFI on Magic

Can someone tell me, is the wifi on the social plan a lot slower then the other two plans?

social plan is not full internet, only messaging, unless the ship was upgraded it is sadly slow

While I can't answer your question regarding the speed of the WiFi on the social plan, the WiFi for the Hub app is very spotty. It works on some parts of the ship, but not everywhere. The Hub app is a great idea, but Carnival needs to find a better system to make it worth having.

worth having? it's free, we found last 3 cruises it worked great, no issues at all

Not sure about Magic but I just used the top tier internet plan on the Glory and it worked great. While not very fast by today's standards it was like original DSL. I did a speed test and it was between 5 to 10 Mbps down. I even tried Netflix which the plan said is not supported and it worked as well. Also WiFi was connected and working great everywhere on the ship. So I would assume Magic would be same as Glory since neither one has been upgraded yet

On Magic now. Wifi was decent for browsing the internet but obviously not comparable to Royal. Hub app was great as well.  Overall no real issue with wifi and it was fast enough for basic internet usage. Only a couple of drop outs the entire cruise. I'm a heavy user.

Sailed Magic in early May.  What this person said to a "T".
