Formal night, when are they?

Recommended Posts

Question

We signed up for our first Transatlantic cruise with Royal Carribbean sailing next May looking to find out how many formal night they have and what days they have them scheduled.

We are thinking of signing up for the Oasis of the Seas ( never been on A big ship) what days do they have they formal nights for their seven day cruises or do the big ships ship the formal nights?

Thanks!

ps friend of ours are taking the Norwegian ship Epic for a Mediterranean cruise this fall and want to know when their formal night are too. Any info would be appreciated.  Thanks!  😁

There will be two or three formal nights on the transatlantic cruise, and two formal nights on the Oasis 7-night cruise.

Most likely both cruises will have the first formal night on night two.   There's no way to know when the other formal nights will be for the transatlantic.  The Oasis cruise will likely have the second formal night on night 5 or 6.

Most TAs have 3 formal nights. If the ship supports the RCI app, it may list which nights are formal.

As an example ,last September the Brilliance transatlantic had formal nights on day 2, 8 and 15

Night 2 is ALWAYS the 1st formal night...they space the others....it's never boarding day or the last evening...ever.

Never say always.  There were several of the shorter sailings that had the formal night on night 3.

I don't think that NCL has formal nights. They had a dress up or not night but no night specified formal.

Not sure they even have that now.

On a 7 day RC, there are 2 formal nights, usually first sea day, and 5th or 6th night.

No formal nights on NCL,  very very casual dressing now, even in specialty restaurants.

Safe  sailing

Thanks will let Viv know that will make her DH happy
