DCCruiser57 Posted September 19, 2019 #51 Share Posted September 19, 2019 Must not be a great deal of interest in the various mid voyage land trips as we keep getting e-mails advertising the ones on the various legs.
DCCruiser57 Posted September 24, 2019 #52 Share Posted September 24, 2019 Did everyone get the message today from Silversea that 18 blank pages are required to be in our passports? This seems exceptionally high based on prior world cruises. Last year, I only had 11 pages stamped and DW only had 10.

The standard US passport only has 18-pages when it’s brand new.
DCCruiser57 Posted September 25, 2019 #54 Share Posted September 25, 2019 My passport, issued last year, had 52 pages. However, 8 pages were taken up by various information, thus there were only 44 usable pages. Currently, you can get a passport with either 28 or 52 total pages. Assuming both have 8 pages for various information, then you either get 20 or 44 blank pages. You can no longer get [ages added - need to get a new passport.

DCCruiser57 Posted September 28, 2019 #56 Share Posted September 28, 2019 Mysty - I keep getting notifications of your responses to my posts but for some reason, your posts never show up. We hope that your move went well, as HunEbear and I will be doing the same in a couple of years. We are now down to only 100 days til we board.

DCC...maybe my posts are not considered helpful. 🙂 We have now moved in to our new accommodation and are living with mountains of boxes (despite the fact that I have made serious purging moves). I will not miss our house though. It was the right time and the right move for us. We really wish we were counting down along with you and HunE! We will share your adventures vicariously whenever you have the chance to post once you sail. Hopefully the internet connections will be easier to work with than the last go!

I'll be interested to see too if the suggested improvement occurs. Otherwise, the 2020 world cruisers might be collecting another compensatory OBC!

I will, however, follow along with cheer and support! Here's to an amazing 2020 SS WC!

joe_90 Posted October 10, 2019 #70 Share Posted October 10, 2019 (edited) Hi All I have again queried the number of empty pages required for those doing the full World Cruise and holding UK passports. And the reply is 18. I will have to get a new one but other half had a new one last year and there were 10 pages fully covered by stamps. Rare Silver Spectre Posted October 21, 2019 #73 Share Posted October 21, 2019 Rather sad to hear that Enver has been banned from working as a dance host for the 2020 WC. As far as I can tell he was one of the most popular dance hosts ever on SS and a number of the solo lady guests are gutted.
