Do any HAL ships have forward-facing Neptune Suites?

We aren't yet familiar with Holland America, with our first HAL cruise coming up in November.

Are there any HAL ships with forward facing Neptune Suites?

We *love* to be able to see where we are going, and having a balcony is best (except when wind is too extreme).  Second best would be to have large windows much like the sliding doors, for the same view from inside.

Is there anything like that on any of the ships?

Although we won't know for sure how we like sailing with HAL, the more we read, the more it seems likely to be a good fit.  If so, we'll likely want to book a few more cruises, and it would be nice to know which ships' itineraries we might search first.

Thanks!

Nieuw Statendam and Koningsdam have front-facing Spa Neptunes up on Deck 10 and 11. Be aware that there is a window, not like sliding doors, facing front and the balcony is on the side of the ship and is very small. Been there, done that, never again a Neptune Guarantee on those two ships.

Thanks for the quick reply.

Hmmmm... I've recently been reading here other negatives about Spa Neptune Suites, but don't know what is "Spa" about them.... ??

Or why they seem to get such negative comments, so it would be really helpful to understand more in case it's something(s) that would also "displease" us.

That forward window... is it fairly small?  Can one *see* where the ship is headed from bed?  From sofa?

And the side balcony - why is it so small?  Can one see forward from that, or it is too sheltered (meaning a wall/divider type partition on the forward side)?

Finally, is the floor plan the same as other Neptune Suites?

Note that I don't know how the other corner Neptune Suites (aft) differ from regular Neptune Suites.  (I thought they might be accessible suites for some reason.)

Thanks again!

Also be aware that if your forward facing cabin/suite is under the Bridge you will not be allowed to have any light at all on the balcony while the ship is underway at night.  Curtains have to be closed etc.  AND with even a moderate speed the wind on the balcony will make sitting outside very difficult.  Fine when in port.  Not when moving.
