Robyn2 Posted November 11, 2019 #1 Share Posted November 11, 2019 Are there any particular nights when there is a special menu, barbeque, deck party, captains dinner etc and if so when would they normally be held on a 14 day Carribean cruise on Riviera. Just want to check before making dining reservations. Would love some advice on this please.
Rare ORV Posted November 11, 2019 #2 Share Posted November 11, 2019 Captain's Welcome party is usually second night. Free drinks in most bars around the ship for a few hours. Sometimes there are other special activities, but no telling when they might happen.

In both the GDR and Terrace Café, there are interesting offerings nightly. Want a basic like "steak and lobster?" You can get that poolside daily and Terrace Café nightly. There are no phony Captain's dinners (unless you're invited to an officer dinner - still with the same good available to everyone) nor "prom nights" which are just gimmicks designed to make you think you're getting something "special."

What a great description! We're heading there in a few weeks and I loved what you wrote here.
