Shore Excursion Full, any suggestions?

We are on the April 6th Empires of the Mediterranean voyage and were hoping to take the Olympia Countryside Hike when docked in Katakolon Greece. However, when our booking window opened up, this shore excursion was all booked up. Can anyone suggest a private booking tour that would offer the same experience? Or, should we just hope that 2 spots to open up once we board the ship? This is our first Viking cruise. Any help, especially based on personal experience, would be greatly appreciated.

Keep checking back daily. People change their minds and spaces open up.

 

If one space opens up, snap it up. You will have a better chance of getting a second seat if you already have a foot in the door. Sometimes, you can work a second seat if you contact the folks at Tellus@vikingcruises.com -- but even they cannot sell what is not available.

 

Just one caveat: Sometimes SOLD OUT does mean "No more seats available" but simply that they aren't running the tour at all -- and there is no way of telling which it means. Contact Viking and see what they say.

Our experience has been they hold seats for onboard booking. When you board go straight to shore excursions (same level as the living room) and check.

Hi Jack,

I remember you from the Cunard board.  You will love Viking I bet.  We have had good luck on Viking wait lists for cruises as well as shorex spots.  Call your Viking rep or your TA and ask to be waitlisted.  Bet you get it.🍸
