richbum Posted March 4, 2020 #1 Share Posted March 4, 2020 Ok...I have a dumb question...What is a casino rate? I booked my cruise when it was a 7 day western Caribbean...and 2 months later, they switched it to a 9 eastern day journey cruise. I called yesterday to ask a question, and the man I talked to said I got a casino rate. They never increased my rate when they changed the cruise...so I am paying for a 7 day western still...at least that is what I was told when they made the change. Is there anything special about the casino rate? Thanks in advance!
Rare lazydayz Posted March 4, 2020 #2 Share Posted March 4, 2020 Not in and of itself. Sometimes they add in extras, but those are usually communicated with the offer. You might want to call back and see if there is any on board credit, free play, or drink offers included. Those don't show up on your invoice but the rep can see it on the screen. Hoosierpop Posted March 4, 2020 #3 Share Posted March 4, 2020 (edited) Yeah, there are a lot of different casino rates, usually based on how much you have played in the past. They can come with reduced or even free cabins, casino play chips, drinks on us, etc. I agree with above in that I would ask them what else the casino offer has other than no increase in the cabin for the extra days. Thank you both...I don't use the casino a lot...so I'm guessing they just put it in as a rate when they transferred the cruise over. I don't think I will get anything out of it.. We are booked with a casino rate and a $500 OBC. It does show up on the invoice at the bottom of the itemized charges.

When we've booked casino rates, OBC shows on the invoice, but any casino free play that in included does not show up.
