ECLIPSE HORN CROSSING, E TICKET RIDE?!?

Just leaving Cape Horn.  Weather stayed windy all day, then began to ease up as we neared the point.  Spitty rain, fairly calm seas, bits of fog/mist but clear enough to see.  Very cold!

Much of the ship braved the cold and wind on the open decks.  We opted for deck 14, starboard, forward.  There is a little somewhat protected niche under the stairs to deck 15 but good views.

The ship made several very slow circles so that everyone could have a look.  In retrospect, we should have stayed in the cabin and used the balcony and gone in and out.  Views would have been 100% the same, but much better creature comfort.

Was pleased at the high amount of common courtesy shown on deck - allowing others in to take their pictures too.  Heard several jokes that everyone was going to end up with a runny nose tomorrow from the cold and them all doomed to quarantine.  Gallows humor for sure.

Unless anyone has specific questions I won't be doing more updates.  Mission accomplished!

We were on Eclipse and crossed the Horn in mid-January.  Not much of an E-Ticket ride.  We could barely see anything due to rain, wind and fog,

TeeRick, when we went back again on the Antarctica cruise it was sunny. 😄😄😄
