logan25 Posted April 24, 2020 #1 Share Posted April 24, 2020 I will be interested to see whether NCL extends the “life” of all the Operational Pause FCCs. The six currently in my account expire one year from date issued, so March and April 2021. The latest FAQ indicate the FCCs can be applied on cruises until December 31, 2022. But mine will have expired long before that. As of now, they are essentially useless on bookings through June 2020. Don’t even get me started on when a viable NCL cruise (that actually sails) will happen. Royal Caribbean has extended and aligned the expiration of all Pause FCCs, no matter when they were issued.
Rare All-ready2cruise Posted April 24, 2020 #2 Share Posted April 24, 2020 THIS: FCCs can be applied on cruises until December 31, 2022 That's how it will work with NCL as well. It states it in the Peace of Mind message. My FCCs would have expired Mar. 14th 2021, however, they've been applied to 2 cruises in Apr. 2021 and I have another I'm waiting to apply another amount to in 2022. logan25 Posted April 24, 2020 Author #3 Share Posted April 24, 2020 And hypothetically, when cruises do not commence in 2020, the life of said FCCs has been “shortened” by 8-9 months.

Are you talking about FCC's from a cancelled cruise, or a Cruise Next certificate? My 2 Cruise Next certificates from my cancelled May cruise still had the same expiration date of 11-2021. I booked a cruise that started one day before the expire, so I can't say if NCL would have extended them or not.
Rare shof515 Posted April 24, 2020 #5 Share Posted April 24, 2020 do i have to book a cruise and sail before the cruisenext certificate expires or do i have to just a book a cruise before it expires? i am thinking all i have to do is just before the expire date. logan25 Posted April 24, 2020 Author #6 Share Posted April 24, 2020 My concern is with the Future Cruise Credits (not CruiseNext certificates which expire four years after issuance).
bluesea777 Posted April 25, 2020 #7 Share Posted April 25, 2020 The FCCs need to be applied to cruises that sail on or before Dec 31, 2022, before the FCCs’ expiration date. The FCCs expire one year after their issuance.

This a really great point. I also hope they come out with those 2022 dates soon, so we can actually schedule and apply the FCC to those 2022 cruises before our FCC's expire.
