Rare Beamafar Posted August 2, 2020 #27 Share Posted August 2, 2020 I’m not fully committed to our booking, either - probably due to all this uncertainty - but it feels good to at least have one in place to look forward to.

I’m so frustrated. I’m writing this from a southern caribbean island on the balcony of a great resort as we speak wishing the waves were going by below me. If we can do it here the cruise lines can do it. And for those like my wife that think going to a resort will make it feel like youre on a cruise Im here to tell you it DOES NOT, it just makes me miss the sea more. I'm afraid I will agree with you. More closures are coming. Hurtigruten is up to 36 crew confirmed positive. Passengers in quarantine are still being tested. Paul Gauguin just reported a positive covid test. I suspect the CDC isn't going to ignore. https://www.cruiseindustrynews.com/cruise-news/23323-paul-gauguin-has-a-covid-19-case.html Where are you at in S.Caribbean? I can do land and/or all inclusive resorts but DH has a hard time unless we pick one of the monster complexes that includes golf and daily beach volleyball. I do agree, it's nothing like being on the sea, but I've had some wonderful AI vacations. With all the unrest in the USA (covid and rioting), I'm hesitant to leave Michigan. I'm afraid 2020 is going to be limited to vacation time at our cabin in the Upper Peninsula.
