Box Beach in the foreground looking towards Shark island and Fingal bay. Shoal Bay is in the other direction.

Very familiar with the area.

Slept on Box Beach in 1968 with a few mates. I had just bought a Mini 850. After a few long necks we decided it was safer to stay than drive home, considering the condition of the Nelson Bay/Stockton road(?) at that time rather than the grog we had drunk. Times have changed.
