I have a question. My husband and I have both tested positive for COVID this last week.  I realize you may test positive for awhile afterward. My question is out cruise is in March 2022. Is it possible that I could still test positive without exhibiting any further symptoms?  And what would the cruise company do??  Would I need a note from MD or something?

It is rare to test positive after the initial illness. It is possible but not something that you should worry about. And this is very very rare after 90 days.

A note from your doctor wouldnt help. Either you test negative or you dont board.

 

If you are worried about testing positive next march your doctor would be better to speak with, though there are some doctors who post here.

You really don’t need to worry about this. PCR results may come back positive anything up to 3 months after covid, but this is very rare. Certainly should not be positive 5 months later unless you get reinfected 
I was positive for covid in august, have a cruise in January and its something that I am not concerned about a bit. Just try and look forward to your cruise. 😀

It's also much rarer to test positive after recovering if you have been vaccinated and had a breakthrough case.  March is 5 months away.  Not sure why you are sweating it this far out.

Although it is possible to test positive up to 90 days later, everyone I know who has had Covid, has tested at the end of their illness to be safe, and they have all tested negative at the end. Though that is not a huge sampling, it is encouraging.
