Kids and Cruise Card Lanyards?

My kids are ages 4, 9, and 9.  Do I need to get them lanyards for their cruise cards?  I like the idea, but I just don't see them using the cards that much.  They'll be with a parent most of the time so won't we just use one of the parent cards?   I know they'll need the cards when getting on/off the ship, but due to us booking the cruise last minute and my youngest being unvaccinated, this will maybe only happen once or twice for us.  Do they need their specific cards to get in and out of Adventure Ocean, maybe?  Sailing with Royal Caribbean if that helps.  THANKS.

No one needs a lanyard.

I don't use one. I just keep my card in my pocket.

A lot of folks like having the lanyard.  Go for it but I remember my kids at that age and would be hesitant to let them be in charge of the cruise cards for long.  Not out of a worry about charges.  I would worry about them being misplaced.  Shoot, Mrs Ldubs hardly trusts me no to lose the cruise card! 😀

Go to "threadwallets.com"  A site with lanyards, slim card holders, etc.  I've got several items from them.  Excellent quality.

DS started cruising at 3 and he is going to be 11 in a couple of months. One of us (DH or I) always keeps HIS card in one of our pockets.

The one time we didn't, he lost it.

I also found other kids' cards throughout the ship and took them to the GS.
