esther e Posted January 13, 2022 #1 Share Posted January 13, 2022 I have seen some photos of the pool and am curious about what I think I see. There seems to be a few rows of steps going into the pool, but I can't see how one would get out. It looks like some seating above the steps, but that doesn't make sense to me. Unless you have very long legs it would be difficult (impossible for me) to climb out. I would love your thoughts. Thanks.
Rare albingirl Posted January 13, 2022 #2 Share Posted January 13, 2022 There are steps and a handrail. You should be ok. Everyone else was.
Fouremco Posted January 14, 2022 #3 Share Posted January 14, 2022 I've sailed both the Nieuw Statendam and the Koningsdam, and assure you that in addition to both the steps you mention - with a handrail - there are two traditional ladders with handrails. Skip ahead to the 50 second mark for a full view of the pool:
esther e Posted January 14, 2022 Author #4 Share Posted January 14, 2022 Thank you so much fouremco! Great photo and I really appreciate it. Old age, arthritis and short legs are not good matches!!!
