Resortforaday.com lists three hotels that have day passes available.

I just emailed Sonesta Maho Bch resort/casino for details about a day pass (hoping the direct approach is more "horse's mouth" than 3rd party vendor).  The day pass description says 9am-5pm with

  • Complimentary beach and pool lounge chairs & towels
  • Unlimited dining at on-site restaurants for freshly prepared meals and snacks
  • Unlimited alcoholic beverages, cocktails, sodas and juices
  • Fitness center
  • Non Motorized water sports
  • Casino (open from 1pm-4am)
  • Bathroom and changing facilities
  • WiFi in Lobby & public areas - touch base with family and friends back home for FREE!

Greydog, thanks for this information. I do believe this is a great option for us.

I also emailed and heard back from Little Divi in St. Martin in regard to beach use:

We do not charge a fee for day use at Divi Little Bay Beach Resort. The beach is open to public access as well as the restaurants and water sports department. The beach chairs and umbrellas are available for rent daily at the activities hut at a cost of $5.00 per item. Pools and hot tubs are for registered guests of the resort only.
Parking is $10 per vehicle, per day for guests not staying at the resort.
Please be sure to "check-in" with the Front Desk upon arrival at the resort.
*Day use not available during Christmas week.

Thank you

So is this any different from the information at resortforday?  Do you purchase directly from them?  or online/resort for a day website?

Hi - here's email reply from Sonesta:

inquiry regarding the day pass at our Sonesta Maho Beach Resort Casino & Spa St Maarten Hotel. Please be informed that you will be required to call our front desk directly at 1-721-545-2115, in order to make a reservation for a day pass. Kindly note that this is subject to availability. The day pass fee for adults is $89 while for kids aged 6 -12, the day-pass fee is $45.

Alternatively, our cruiseline offers post-cruise island tour 4.5 hrs starting at 8am with ending at airport which would seem to fill the time, fit with my 3:05 flt.  We reserved using our remaining FCC credit balance.

Alternatively, we considered hanging out at a beach bar near airport such as Sunset Beach Bar - Maho (famous at end of runway with planes close overhead) - just lounging with drinks-lunch with chair/umbrella $10 first-come/first serve, no change facilities.

GOOD LUCK
