Yellow Lane

One of the questions on the medallion app heath questionnaire asks if you have visited any international countries within 14 days prior to the cruise.  We will be coming directly from Mexico which puts us in the yellow lane.'

Has anyone been in the yellow lane and can share the experience?

Yup. We were yellow lane due to recent travel from home to US. Once they checked that and our Covid test, we were on our way. No extra test, nothing. Added maybe 10 minutes - although it's hard to say, as once we were cleared through Yellow, we were escorted straight to the Blue lame area, which had absolutely no one checking in at all and we were next. Total - maybe 13-14 minutes overall from entering yellow lane to having medallions in hand.

From appearances and overhead convos, virtually everyone in front of us in yellow was there due to either needing a test, or having tested on wring day (too early).

Don't worry about it - int'l travel basically automatically puts you in yellow. It goes very fast.

And yes, it can vary on how it's handled - that was our experience with having had recent int'l travel.

Safe travels

I believe as more people can complete their Medallion App prior to arriving at the terminal the speed of the yellow lane will even improve more.

My App shows green lane & there's nothing left to do except board when called.

The yellow lane is an unfortunate situation for all foreign nationals.  It seems to have affected Canadians more that any other nationality. as the largest group consistently affected.

I have not been in the Yellow lane on any of my cruises as Canadians who fly directly to the US to cruise as per Princess do not have to select the out of country for 14 days option.  Confirmed with Princess this morning.

As confirmed, you'll just have to select "No" for the question "In the 14 days prior to embarkation, did you travel internationally?  Happy Cruising!!

This news will be good for all Canadians coming from home.

coming from one cruise to the next, the app sent us to yellow lane because of our declaration of foreign travel.  Upon arriving at the port (jumped from Miami to Port Everglades and changed cruise lines), the rep asked if we were yellow only because of foreign travel.  We replied yes, and she redirected us to the green lane.  They checked our covid tests and proof of vaccination, then fiddle-faddled with the app and changed our answers about foreign travel from "yes" to "no", so the app would then let us board, and on we went.
