Ignore me. I'm just here on a test drive.

I tried to quote about Guy Fieri - if he wants to pronounce it with a "T" it should have one - but I'm having trouble with this editor. I was going to write that I'm only 50/50 when Guy recommends a place on Diners (etc) and I try it out, but I guess he can get a hamburger right.

I don't really trust his show because he never doesn't like anything on triple D.

I've watched enough Triple D that I feel like I can tell when Guy really likes something and when he's just going through the motions. It's a gift.

These kinda came in out of order, but hey... Blue Iguana breakfast is still my jam. One arepa, one ranchero.

Dig all the venues with outside seating around the Lanai. Reminds me of my favorite part of the Norwegian Breakaway.

Great photos!

Can you tell me about the last photo in post #56?  It's of a outdoor sitting area with wood chairs and tables.  Thanks!

Also, I believe this was a Thanksgiving cruise.  Did they serve a special holiday meal?  If so, any photos?

Thanks again!

The outdoor seating area in 56 was the outer section of the Red Frog Pub on the Lanai on Deck 5. It goes a long way back, also has tables and porch swings, etc.

It WAS a thanksgiving cruise, and they did serve a thanksgiving meal in the MDR. I'm sorry, no photos, I don't love doing the MDR solo.

So solo, especially if I've done an itinerary a bunch of times, I really am a stay onboard the ship guy for the most part. Love the low crowds, just floating away in the pool or on serenity.... but I'll usually at least wander down in some places, so here we are in Coz...

Kyndall Fire, CD. It's cool having a gal from Texas as CD on a cruise out of Galveston. Hearing her cruise director origin story was awesome (and highly relatable as a kid who fell in love with all this on the Celebration in 1988).

Pop open YouTubeTV to watch former North Texas Mean Green great Mason Fine get some playing time forthe Saskatchewan Roughriders. #GMG

Also, the premium internet was WAY faster on Vista than any other ship I've been on. Not even close. No problem streaming almost any time.

OMG!  I was on this sailing and just found me and my girls in your Sail Away Deck party pic!  We are in the bottom right corner, blue shirts.  (Also a UNT grad, but also an Aggie grad, so I bleed maroon!)

Hey y'all!

I know this is a good bit late and all, but I recently sailed solo on the Vista over Thanksgiving week (third cruise post-COVID, first two on the Breeze), and as I'm getting amped up for my March Horizon sailing I wanted to relive it a little and dump some photos here. It won't be great, since I wasn't planning on doing any sort of review and never had that mindset when taking pics, but hey, it's a little something at least.

Long story short, my gf had a wedding in Savannah she had to attend, and since I'm still riding the wave of ridiculous deals, I went ahead and booked a solo jaunt on Vista. My first time on a Vista class ship after several on Holiday/Fantasy/Conquest/Dream class...

Outstanding post!!  Great job!!  Wife and I will be on Vista for the 1st time in April.  Have a question for you please.  I really enjoy having a drink(s) and playing cornhole while cruising.  From past pictures & videos, it appears there are boards outside of the Red Frog Pub on 5th as well as up on the sports square.  Did you happen to notice if still there?

Thanks again for your very informative post!

Nice room!  I don't think I've ever seen one with two windows and two chairs.

@TxTeach79,

I know its been awhile since this cruise, but I was just wondering if you remember if there was much noise in that room 1472. I'm considering booking this room for a future cruise and just wondered if you got any noise from the thrusters when docking or turning. We had a similar room on the Magic and the room was great except for an hour or so while docking, which we could put up with. Love having the 2 windows and the extra room through.

thanks,

Stingray
