Casino Royale points conversion

Hello all, we just finished our very first ever cruise.  I have a question about accumulated points and conversion.  They had a promo with a free cruise for 800 points.  Of course we knew this offer had some strings in terms of short dates etc.  Anyway, as I had said this is our first cruise so we had no experience with their system.  We made 800 points and I decided to start using the 'account' buttons on the slots.  I noticed I could convert what I thought was accumulated free play to actual money.  So I did so, first 10 and then 5.  When we inserted our card on another machine our points showed just over 50, so I 'removed' 750 points by doing this.  Now at this point my wife wanted to kill me and I had no idea what I had done really.

It turns out the next morning we got our offer anyway and we made another 800 points by more slotting.

My question is what actually did I do with those points?  Do we still have them and do they count towards our status?

Sorry - I am late reading this thread and this question might have already been asked and answered 🤦🏽‍♀️

Are points only amassed on the slot machines or do you get points for table games ?

Any idea what it takes to get to a certain point level? I play the slots but not for any crazy amounts - if I find a machine I like I might play max per spin - usually $3-$5 range

Thanks for the Enchantment cruise review - we’ll be on her next Saturday, and as anyone who’s cruised before knows - this week will last
FOR-EV-AHHHHH

As far as I know you can redeem the points into free play on slot machines, but if you play tables you can always ask the casino host on your next sailing.

About a week after your cruise you will see your point total and any free offers from the casino post on this website.

https://www.clubroyaleoffers.com/

Simply input your last name and your crown and anchor number.

To reach prime level in the casino you need a total of 2500 points earned in the casino calendar year of April 1st thru March 31st.    Once you reach prime you automatically earn one free cruise - any cruise of your choice anywhere in the world for up to 7 nights for an interior cabin.    the fee to upgrade to a higher cabin category is very reasonable with the casino rates.         Plus you will receive multiple offers throughout the year.    And free cocktails and free bottled water whenever the casino is open.

So just to confirm, there is no downside to redeeming points for free play?  I also had a "***** did I do" moment on my last cruise when I did the same thing as ed.  So even though machine will show lower balance of points, we are still accumulating original balance towards prime status and/or any promotion for a free cruise the ship may be putting on?

That is correct.  I have had this confirmed.  It does make it harder to track your actual points though.  You can verify through the Casino Royale offer page with your C & A number to ensure that points have been properly accumulated.  With that said I don't know what delay there is via that site.

I try to save my "free play" points until the last night of the cruise but sometimes I don't listen to myself.       It took about 10 days for our points from last cruise to post on the clubroyale website.

Different question - I am listed as choice because it has been a few years since I have sailed with RCCL, but still get occasional casino offers and got one I couldn't pass up for next month.  If I earn enough points to become prime, does that happen immediately on that cruise?  Or does it take effect the next cruise I take? (mostly wanting to know if I can start getting free drinks instead of paying $10-12 for my favorites lol)

Solid advice and what I plan to do next go around so I know where I stand. Hopefully what I’m reading on here is correct that Royal has dropped Prime down to 1500 points for this year?

I’m not a huge gambler but cruise next weekend and about 615 points shy of 1500 so if that stands true the plan is to get to 1500 so I can reap the benefits for the next year and get a free cruise. And if I get that far, might as well as go for 800 which seems to be magic # for additional free cruise. Of course, will have to confirm all this is fact with the casino first.

Check with the Casino host as they have discretion.  If you obtain the required number of points for Prime they may put a drink sticker on your SeaPass card for drinks in the casino.  I have found that each host is different which is why I suggest you check with them early on your cruise.  Good luck!

From everything I have read you still need 2500 points for free drinks. The 800 points will only get you a free inside cabin.

Here is a notice from Club Royale.    This has been confirmed by a couple different casino hosts on current sailings.  You only need 1500 points by March 31st to reach Prime status for the casino year of April 1, 2022 thru March 31, 2023.

Then eligible for free drinks in casino and annual tier cruise plus whatever other freebies / others they send out throughout the year.
