Hello everyone and good morning. Welcome to Day 5 of "LIVE" on Enchantment of the Seas.
We have arrived at the pier in Fredericksted, St. Croix, USVI.

The all ashore announcement should be very soon. It is currently 9:00 a.m. here in St Croix. I should be leaving the ship by around 10:00 a.m..

I don't have any excursions secured for St Croix. I have no excursions planned for any of the ports we are going to over the next 5 days. Most people who follow my "LIVE" reports already know that I always go ashore at every single port. I am just not sure what the plans will be.

I could visit the duty-free shops ashore, or I could go to a local restaurant or pub. . . Or maybe grab a taxi to the beach. We'll just wait and see how the day turns out.

Our first ever cruise was on Enchantment back on Jan 20-28, I have so enjoyed following along with any reports of her sailings since.  Very well done.  It is so nice to see the cruise experience going back to more normal.

Thanks for the nice comments, edrussell.

Yes it does appear that things are getting back to normal. I kind of like things though and a reduced capacity, but that will change in the coming months.

Hello everyone and good day. I am back on the ship after a delightful time in St Croix. I left the ship at 10:30, and I had forgotten that this is a very long pier. I was surprised to hear that in St Croix, you are required to wear a mask indoors or outdoors. Yes, if you were vaccinated or not, a mask is required.

There we're about 30 vendors selling souvenirs, t-shirts, and local handmade items. There are several passengers sailing on the ship that were on the last 12 night Cruise on Enchantment of the Seas. They suggested that the pricing was more of a value tomorrow in St Maarten. Some of the products they were showing were very nice, but also very pricey.

From the ship you can see a park with a beach that is very close. It is only about two blocks away and I went over there to see what was happening. At the time I went, there were about 30 Cruise passengers enjoying the beach. Passengers could rent a chair or an umbrella for $10 each. Several tropical style drinks could be purchased for $8, and beers were $4.

I didn't know that there were so many dive shops in Fredericksted, St. Croix. I saw over at dozen Dive  Shops in just a 4 block area. My friend is a diver and he asked one of the shop owners for a lunch recommendation. He suggested a nice spot that was very popular just a block away. We went to "69", and I'm glad I did. The food is very good, and very hot. Evidently, TripAdvisor contains many positive reviews on this restaurant. "69"  was in a courtyard just a few blocks from the port authority.

There were several parks, and over a dozen restaurant/pubs that are within walking distance. There are also several beaches that can be accessed quickly via taxi less than 2 miles away.

I made it back to the ship by around 2:30.

Here are a few pics from today.
Thanks for tuning in. . .

Does Enchantment still have a jump zone on deck 10??  I love all the pictures and videos!  Thanks so much for taking us along.

The Jump Zone on Deck 10 has been removed. I don't know when they removed it.  I remember the Jump Zone being active when Enchantment of the Seas sailed from Baltimore in 2012.

Hello everyone good morning. Welcome to DAY 6 of "LIVE" from Enchantment of the Seas.

We arrived early this morning and around 6:00 a.m. as we were scheduled to arrive at 7:00 a.m. Celebrity Edge is joining us today in St Maarten at AC Wathey Pier in Phillipsburg.

I should be getting off of the ship around 10:30, and may go over to Front Street where there are many shops and a few Casinos. I will probably come back to the pier area to check out some of the shops here.

The forecast here today is very sunny and 84°f. There will be a light breeze, but it seems like great weather to me.

I used to rent a car every time I came to St. Maarten,  but I have decided to just hang out near the pier for today.

Thanks for tuning in.
