ocbaylady Posted March 6, 2022 #81 Share Posted March 6, 2022 Have a wonderful cruise! We live in Harford County, Md and have sailed many times from Fl and SJU. We are going on the Enchantment to Bermuda May 27th and are very excited. Could anyone let us know if there is wheelchair assistance in terminal and onto ship, my husband will have a scooter at the cabin as he can't walk long distances or stand for an extended period of time. Thanks

Thanks Yes, when you first walk in there is an area to the right where you sit down just a couple of feet from the terminal entrance. There is a wheelchair sign up sheet there. A Cruise Maryland attendant will transport you in the wheelchair to the security and check-in stations. They will transport you directly to your cabin. The Cruise Director suggested that the ship must be in International waters before the Casino can open. I am not sure why Carnival Cruise lines will open the casino 30 minutes after leaving Cruise Maryland, and Royal Caribbean must wait until we are out of the Chesapeake Bay. I remember hearing, when the closing happened, that a state (maybe VA) imposed a fee for the casino to be opened in the Chesapeake and sailing to international waters. Carnival pays the fee. RC ships out of Baltimore have opened the casino from time to time - can’t remember exact dates.

Pushed to the cabin? Would love that but the attendant always asks us where we would like to eat. Sounds like a nice improvement. Rare Radio Posted March 6, 2022 Author #96 Share Posted March 6, 2022 Good morning, and Welcome to DAY 2 on Enchantment of the Seas. I had a nice dinner last night, (Antipasto and "Fish n Chips"), but after dinner I could not keep my eyes open. I went to my cabin and fell asleep very quickly. I can tell you that I slept like a baby. I didn't have far to travel yesterday, but boarding day is always a very tiring day. I am happy to report that coffee is available 24 hours per day. I spoke to an attendant in the Park Cafe, and he suggested that they stop serving food at midnight but coffee is available all evening. That made me very happy when I woke up at Radio Dark30 this morning. We are currently off the coast of Cape Hatteras. The temperature is in the 60s however it is very windy. I am not convinced that there will be too many passengers on the main pool deck today. I am sure that the solarium will be packed most of the day. Casino Royale opens at 8:00 a.m. and the top tier event will be this morning at 11:00 a.m.. There are a ton of activities scheduled for the day, as there will be for the next 2 days at sea. It's time for me to jump in the Solarium whirlpool. . . I need to be in some hot water. Thanks for tuning in. . . Radio Passing under the Key bridge last night after sail away. We also passed under the Chesapeake Bay bridge about an hour later. Chef's Table on Deck 4. I may dine here one night this Cruise. I am happy that coffee is available all evening. The hours for Park Cafe The Cruise compass is available every day near the Guest Relations desk. Casino Royale was closed last night. Good morning The Crown and Anchor event it's later this morning. It's time for a little breakfast in the Windjammer.

Rare Radio Posted March 6, 2022 Author #98 Share Posted March 6, 2022 (edited) The internet speed on board is similar to most most Ships at Sea that I have been on. It's not fiber optic quality similar to 3G. I was able to get the same speed on Oasis of the Seas in October 2021, and Anthem of the Seas in December 2021. This should work out for the photos and vids that I post this Cruise. Radio Internet speed test Edited March 6, 2022 by Radio
Lady Hudson Posted March 6, 2022 #99 Share Posted March 6, 2022 (edited) Thank you for your report. Always enjoyable. Will be interested to hear of “Covid” changes since we sailed in February. Next trip is Anthem in 2 weeks. Katherine Edited March 6, 2022 by Lady Hudson

Not only the speed but more importantly, she's the only ship below Freedom class with O3B internet - much lower latency -> better performance.
