Disembarkation in Athens

What is the earliest you can disembark? We're looking at flights back to the US and are wondering what is the earliest flight we should book.

Look at the arrival time of your ship.  Arrival and departure times for each port will be on your 4 page Guest Invoice.  The stated time usually means they expect the ship to be docked and cleared by then.  On one cruise our Guest Invoice indicated that if we were doing our own air arrangements to make no flights earlier then 9 am.  Apparently Viking felt they couldn't get anyone to the airport  by 7 am.

What @TayanaLorna said.  Back in March, we didn't finish docking until close to 7AM.  Don't remember the exact time the announced we can start disembarking, but it was definitely after 7AM since we were about to head up to the World Cafe.  Piraeus to ATH will take about 40 to 50 minutes.  I usually err on the side of more time, so I wouldn't book anything earlier than 11AM.

We're looking at a 12 flight on a Tuesday to JFK. Still researching a plan B.

If your ship is there overnight before disembarkation, you can leave anytime.  If disembarkation is the same day the ship arrives, don’t plan on leaving the ship any earlier than an hour after the scheduled time of arrival.

The itinerary we received from Viking indicates the ship will arrive in Athens at 3:00am.

When we don't use Viking Air, we find that Viking includes a recommendation for the earliest flight in the Guest Statement,

We have the same problem upcoming.  What time were you able to get off.
