awinte2 Posted May 6, 2022 #1 Share Posted May 6, 2022 I am sure this is published somewhere but having hard time getting the correct answer. When we fly from Toronto to New York we need to have a negative covid test before getting on plane. When we fly back to Toronto from New York is it required to have negative covid before getting on plane. Am fully vaccinated. Thankyou for your help Arlene
westcoaster Posted May 6, 2022 #2 Share Posted May 6, 2022 (edited) No test required to enter Canada by land, sea or air. However, you do need to complete ArriveCAN. Edited May 6, 2022 by westcoaster
Rare Lady Arwen Posted May 6, 2022 #3 Share Posted May 6, 2022 The ArrivCan app is very easy to use and it’s possible to enter information for all parties travelling together on one device.
High C's Posted May 6, 2022 #4 Share Posted May 6, 2022 Further to the OP's question: the country (Canada) may not require it, but does the airlines? We need to be tested before we board the ship, which is also true when boarding in Canada. So, using that analogy, it is possible the airlines may have their own rules? Just a thought..... We are travelling to/fm NYC and Toronto this summer via Air Canada. I have read (and re-read) their website and can't find anything definitively saying whether or not you need a test to FLY. So my guess would be no. But who knows? LOL

We are flying to London, England on Air Canada and we do not need to test because the UK does not require testing to enter. This is all very clear on the Air Canada website. You do need a test prior to boarding a cruiseship embarking in Canada i.e. Vancouver.

LOL https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/book/travel-news-and-updates/2022/omicron-entry-requirement.html#/ I don't imagine an airline is going to continue to require any Covid protocols that they don't have to do by law. Try this AC tool by putting in your origin and destination cities and dates of travel and you get back Covid requirements & info. https://www.aircanada.com/ca/en/aco/home/book/travel-news-and-updates/2020/covid-19.html#/

Help for ArriveCAN:https://www.canada.ca/en/public-health/services/diseases/coronavirus-disease-covid-19/arrivecan/help.html Airlines require Proof of Vaccination before issuing boarding pass.
