Wow!  That's fast service for sure; you caught someone at the perfect time and place.  I will try that next!

Yes - these are all before final payment. Both X and Royal. Here is the format I used for the e-mail (lifted and adapted from another thread here):

To: shareholderbenefit@rccl.com

Subject: Shareholder Benefit - [vessel] - [sail date]

Please process the shareholder benefit for my upcoming cruise as follows:

Guest name: [name]
Ship: [vessel]
Sail Date: [sail date]
Booking Number: [booking #]

Evidence from my brokerage account is attached. Please let me know if there are any issues.

Thank you,

[name]

[phone]

I attached a positions page from my brokerage with nearly everything other than the RCCL share price and number of shares redacted - did not wait for a monthly brokerage statement to generate. I renamed my brokerage account "nickname" with my full name so that my name would be on the same page, in case they needed that for verification, since I had redacted the account number. Good luck!

Me too - just got a couple updated, even though it's evening. I use the e-mail address rather than the webform. Didn't bother with the PDF form either, just put the details in the body of the e-mail.

I also used the email address and just took photo of stock account (with important acct info blocked out).

As punishment for singing their praises, two bookings of mine just got the reply that they couldn't open my proof of stock ownership - despite it being the same file attached to the three bookings that worked fine earlier today. Consistently inconsistent, I have sent in the same thing over again. 🙂

  • 3 weeks later...

I submitted a shareholder benefit request using the form last Friday July 29th, and yet to hear back from them. My cruise is on Sept 10 on the Infinity, so have a little time but not much.

Based on others experiences, should I reach out to them (e.g. resubmit using the email approach) or give them a little bit more time? How long should I wait?

I sent in two via the e-mail method on July 25. Got the automatic response but nothing sense. Conversely a couple weeks ago they were coming back within a day. I was just wondering myself if I should send in again or what. It's odd.

Update - I just got an email and updated invoice that the OBC credit has been applied. So maybe give them 3 working days before resubmitting? At least in my example.

I logged into the cruise planner but did not see the added OBC, is it supposed to show up now, or upon boarding to the cruise? Or maybe the system just didn't update yet.

In my past submissions, I have asked for confirmation or a denial of the shareholder credit and NEVER get a response.  I would not expect to hear back from them.

If the benefit does not show up in my cruise planner in a week, I resubmit.

We have never had a reply confirming our shareholder OBC and since we book with a TA we don’t get a invoice from Celebrity.  The only way I know it was applied is to check the OBC  balance in my Cruise Planner.
