Cost of internet packages

Recommended Posts

if you have a current booking you can manage the booking, then click on "Packages and Gifts", then internet and it will show you the pre cruise price for the premium package.

although this chart is several years old, it still seems to be accurate for what you will pay if you wait until you get on board.

Something that perhaps complicates a straight answer other than what's noted above is that if you have a "have it all" package that includes the "surf internet" then the upgrade pricing is much different. For our cruise we are currently on (Koningsdam Alaska 7 days RT from Vancouver), the price in my app to upgrade to the "premium" internet is $40 for the week (not daily but for the whole trip). Only for ONE user though (so each person in your party would have to pay up to upgrade). I thought there was a "multiple user" tier as well (thought I read that somewhere) but I've seen no mention of it in my info (but also didn't ask since the surf plan has worked just fine for us so glad I didn't pay more). If I needed more bandwidth I just wait until we're in a port and can use cellular.

I made a booking several months ago. The cruise is over a year away. I still don't have the ability to book internet or see the pricing, so this info is very useful.

On cruises this year, with the Premium package, when a second user tried to log on the the account they were given the choice of booting off the first user or paying extra to bump up to a four-user package. On two seven-day cruises the upgrade cost $30 (for the entire cruise). I think it was $70 when we were on a 14-day cruise, but I don't see a record of it on my statement from that cruise.

Nope, it's not there. I can buy chocolate covered strawberries, casino chips, onboard credit, flowers, towel creations books, and other things, but not internet. There are more choices available, including for flowers, than where I first started watching the site.

I'm very eager to check out the shore excursions, of course. It's a 3 month cruise. We do duplicate some of the 2023 GWV and I was able to lurk on their roll call for 60 pages until someone posted the list of shore excursions. 😆

Are you using Navigator or looking on the Website? Sometimes they aren't the same. The Website usually has Internet available as soon as you book.

I’m sure this has been posted before, but I have not been able to figure out how to search for topics.  I’d like to know the cost for internet packages on HA ships.  I’d appreciate any help.

How to Search for a Topic

Instead of answering your questions, as others have already done, let me teach you how to fish so you can find answers for yourself.

  1. In your web browser, open then main Holland America Line forum page (https://boards.cruisecritic.com/forum/103-holland-america-line/)
  2. In the upper right corner there is long white oval that "Search" in it and has a magnifying glass on the right.  Click this.
  3. Then (very important), click on the button to SEARCH IN This Forum.  If you forget to do this you will search the entire Cruise Critic site including other cruise lines you are likely not interested in.
  4. If you are searching for multiple words, you will most likely want to also check the box that says:  FIND RESULTS THAT CONTAIN All of my search terms.
  5. Then for this example, I typed the words in the white oval search box "internet cost".  Then hit the enter key or click the magnifying glass.
  6. This opens a new page that has forums that contain your search terms that can answer your question.  Just click on one of them until you are find what your are looking for.  In this case, you will see that this question has been asked and answered many times.
