Anyone know if this can be added once onboard?

I have $100 Shareholder OBC I'd like to use...

I wouldn't count on being about to use OBC to purchase this package...Just be prepared for that. Currently on the Pearl, this package was NOT available for purchase on our sailing, but we did purchase it prior to sail date. All worked except the internet wifi, as the internet manager wasn't aware of this package and had to call corporate to verify.

do you find that you getting drinks on the drink package that you couldn't get with the casino drink card?  I also book thru the casino, and I've always declined the drink package as I felt the casino drink card was good enough, especially since it includes water and soda.

Sadly, I am not at the level where I get a casino drink card.  I book through the casino because of their partnership with Caesars and my status there.  The cruises themselves are nicely discounted (or comp) but I don't get free casino drinks, so I always get the drink package.

hmmm, you should be getting a drink card.  I also book thru using my Caesars player's card, and always get a drink card.  It's the low level card, but I do get it.  I thought it was standard.  Definitionally if you're using the comp certificate that Caesar's gives out.

Hm - I will ask this time around.  I have never gotten one on NCL, but Royal does give me drinks in the casino.  Definitely worth asking.  Thanks!

Just an Update on this......I called yesterday and tried to add this on and at first they said they were able to do it, but it raised the price of my Air by $8000...so the glitch with Free at Sea Plus and the Air Promotion continues....the supervisor agent I am told, filed a ticket to solve the glitch and I was advised to call back in 1 week to see if it has been resolved.....so Yes, apparently they agree I should be able to add it with the Free Air promo, but the glitch is the issue that doesn't seem to be resolved yet....

Added to my 7 night cruise in Jan '23 on the Prima. Cost me $787.50 CAD for two people.

Seems like a win for me, since the current exchange rate from $686 USD cost is $887.05 CAD

Also, shore excursion credits added within a day as well.

Hi

I am trying to add this to a booking that I made today and was told it’s not available.  Should I call to get another rep to have it added to my reservation?
Has this happened to anyone?

thanks!

The upgrade code is FASUP, so I would call and give them the code directly.

Has anyone upgraded to the FASUP while already having excursions booked? If so, did the $50 refunds for the second guest on each excursion automatically process or does it involve a call to the ShorEx department and cancelling/rebooking?

When I called to inquire about adding this to my November cruise the PCC said we'd need to call the shorex number. I didn't end up booking it on that trip, but did book on my cruise next year because I had no shore excursions booked yet. So it made it so much easier.

That's what I was afraid of. Not the end of the world, just requires talking to multiple reps when it seems like only some of them even know about FASUP to begin with 😂

Curious if anyone else has a different experience?

We had a different experience. We added the Free at Sea Upgrade to our August cruise. At the time, we had two shore excursions already booked. My husband talked with our PCC who added the Free at Sea Upgrade and told us to call shore excursions.

He was transferred, by the PCC, to the shore excursion desk who informed him that the $50 credit, per excursion (for me as I'm the 2nd person on the reservation) was already being processed automatically. So, good news! You don't have to call shore excursions...but I'd warn you to be sure you look at your payment information about a week after adding the Free at Sea Upgrade just to be 100% sure it worked the way it did for us.

Appreciate your insight...as long as the shore excursion refunds process, this upgrade will be a no brainer.

We added this to our Oct. cruise which was paid in full with four excursions already booked and paid for.  When our PCC added the FASUP it showed that we owed $396.07, which we paid right then.  Then when the new confirmation printed it showed we owed an additional $180 which We also paid. I assumed this was because the shore ex credits hadn’t posted…which it was. After calling Shore Ex, they confirmed that they would refund $180 to our credit card. It’s not $50 if you get Latitudes discount…rather is $45 thus the $180 vs $200.  It did take about a week before the credits came through. So my advice is if you get a balance due when you are paid in full, wait a couple days before you pay it and it should work itself out.  Or you can pay and request the refund. Sorry for the detailed post…hope it helps.

Very helpful, thank you!  Have a wonderful cruise!!!

I just want to point out a possible variable with the above information for anyone who is not aware of the Latitudes discount.

Latitudes discount depends on the cruiser's Latitude status, so the Shore Excursion discount could be 10%, 15%, or 20%.

Also, I failed to mention that we had already upgraded my DH to unlimited wifi for $110…thus why we only had to pay the $396. So now we both have unlimited wifi.

Additional dining detail, in case it was not mentioned elsewhere. I upgraded to the FASUP and in doing so had 4 nights of free dining in specialty restaurants (2 from FAS and 2 from FASUP). I called to add 2 more nights to use up the rest of my FFCs and the agent said that the system wont let her add the dining as it tries to cancel the FASUP whenever she puts it in. Has anyone else had this issue? Were you able to resolve it?

Besides already having it, was there an option to upgrade wifi to streaming, since it only offers unlimited not streaming.  The math works out really well if I were going to do Streaming and Beverage

Emailed my PCC - is there a link somewhere that talks about this? Never mind, just found an image and it does not include streaming.

I was able to add streaming for another $10 a day
