Last Minute Deals

 Share

Recommended Posts

Some years ago, Royal used to offer last minute deals to sell remaining cabins on ships.  If I remember correctly, it was generally within the last 7 -14 days prior to a sailing.  Does anyone know if this still happens, and if so, how does one find out about these last-minute offers.

Thanks in advance!

Check their website and see if the prices are agreeable to you .

If you start doing mock bookings several months before you want to go

you can see if the prices have dropped.

I think you are referring to the going, going gone flyer that came out.  That has not been updated in a long time.

Best just to check the website as deals can happen at any time.  There have been some great ones for sailings a year out while others have been 30 days or less

I would not look at the RCCL website.

Call an online TA instead.

But you are most likely not going to get some crazy deal

Like $100 for a 7 day trip.

If i was an online TA , i would tell anybody that asked if there was a sale that there was , lol .😀

Then i would put a timeline to book the cruise , like right now as they are going fast and once they are gone , they are gone.😆

Not a great way to establish relationship selling , but what are you gonna do.

Everybody has to eat .

Hello,

I know he's now gone, but didn't Fain say (to investors/stock exchange) that to protect margins there would be no last minute reductions - and, consequently, ships would not sail full?

Or has this policy been rescinded and I haven't noticed?

Regards,

Cublet

Yes he did but that was pre Covid.  Covid changed their entire pricing strategy.

I got a great deal one year out on a crown loft , about 40 % less than the current rate.

Pre COVID, the “late” sales moved to maybe 30 days out and it seems that if there’s going to be some last minute sales, that’s about when you should look - somewhere between final payment and about 30 days out.
