Upgrading to Premier Beverage Package from Plus Package

Has anyone upgraded to the Premier Beverage Package onboard?   I called Princess and they said that you could only do it before you board.   I was hoping to use some onboard credits to apply to the upgrade costs.

Both PLUS and Premier are 'cruise fare' additions - so OBC can't apply ... unless of course... Princess

 

now, if you still have any FCC left over from prior cruise(s) - that's different

You were informed correctly by Princess.  It is a fare adjustment and not an add-on.  You can purchase the actual beverage package pre-cruise or on-board, but that would make zero sense compared to the fare option.

If it's only the Premier Beverage Package you are interested in, you can always just pay the difference of the drinks above the $12 limit and you can use your OBC to do so.  Of course, you wouldn't get the specialty dinners or the photo package, the multi device wifi or the special prize entries but, those you can also just use your obc.
