akduo Posted August 14, 2022 #1 Share Posted August 14, 2022 We are on the August 28 TA on QM2. We are taking the transfer from Southampton to St. Pancras station on September 4. Can anyone provide an approximate time of disembarkation for individuals taking this transfer. We need to book a train from King’s Cross and unsure as to what time will be at St. Pancras station. Thanks for any information.
BigMac1953 Posted August 14, 2022 #2 Share Posted August 14, 2022 We've just booked a transfer in a limo (S-Class Merc) from Soton to Euston at £250. It takes about 1 hour 45 min. KC is right next door. We always get picked up at 9:30am and get the GLC train at 12:40. Best to book your travel so not dependent on anyone else. bluemarble Posted August 14, 2022 #4 Share Posted August 14, 2022 This is pre-Covid information from 2019 but perhaps it will help some. I have several "Southampton Transfer Booking Forms" from QM2 crossings that year which state the approximate call-off time for the Cunard coach transfer to St. Pancras as 8:45am. exlondoner Posted August 15, 2022 #6 Share Posted August 15, 2022 On the hand out issued on QM2 last month, they advised not to book trains before 2 pm. This does seem very pessimistic. Still, if you have to spend a lot of time at KX, there are lots of places to eat and it is stunnning to look at.
neeuqdrazil Posted August 15, 2022 #7 Share Posted August 15, 2022 The other challenge with the Cunard transfer is that you have to wait until everyone is on board the coach before it departs. The last time I did the transfer, I don't think we arrived to Victoria Station until almost noon.

Canuker Posted August 25, 2022 #9 Share Posted August 25, 2022 Another option (way less £) would be the hourly train from Southampton Central station (5 minutes by taxi) than change at East Croydon to take you right to St. Pancras (allow about 2.5 hours for the journey time. Then, as you know, St. Pancras is right next to Kings Cross station. Pick the right trains and it'll cost you less than £20 per person.
