Cabin query

Hi everyone, we are looking at Marina 44 day cruise through Northern Europe in July 2023. Very limited cabin selection.

For those Marina cruisers who are familiar with cabin locations, we are wondering if anyone has any comments about cabin 9106 which is a A3 concierge.
Maybe a downside being adjacent to a stair well. Guessing this could be a noisy location but welcome any thoughts.

You're in the right place, just the wrong time zone for a quick reply.

 

In my experience stairway and hallway noise has not been an issue anywhere on an Oceania ship.

Being near a stairwell isn’t an issue, you will be fine 🙂

You are not even that close to the entrance to the stairway area. You will have a wall between you and the stairwell. IMHO you will be absolutely fine!

Great location.

Noise is not an issue and the Concierge Lounge is on deck 9 as well so, that is a bonus.

I agree with others. Stayed close to a stairwell on the Riviera (sister ship), never heard hall/stair/elevator noise at all.

If the floor plan is accurate, Marina 9106 is pretty well forward of the actual opening from the hallway where the elevators and stairwells converge, at 9110/9112. We stayed in 9136 well aft on Riviera 12/21. But I never heard anyone complain about elevator or stairwell noise issues. And you are pretty far aft of the Concierge Lounge, which opens directly across from 9026/9024. A nice walk forward to the lounge, right past the laundry on Deck 9 at 9032/9030

Did you contact O to see if you could change to a different A3 farther away, either forward or aft, from the elevator/stairwell opening to the hallway?

Never had a noise problem and being near the elevators and stairs can be convenient.
