They've got the air cranked up so high on this train, it must be fifty something degrees in here... I was coming to Miami to escape the cold...

Dangit ' ... The train made it to the first stop, and now everyone has to get off and wait for the next one... I'm THIS close to where I need to be.

So, after about a twenty minute delay, I made it to my destination... The Shangri La AKA: The Intercontinental hotel...

They went ahead and let me check in early... I'm about to put a few things up, then get ready for hopefully an epic afternoon and evening in Miami...

That's an awesome view.  I mean, it's not the harbor view but it's still great.  I have stayed at the Intercontinental once.  They kinda pooh poohed me when I took our own luggage up to the room.  What can I say, not used to service people who make their living off of showing me my roome.

Took the Metro Mover up to the end of the line, and now waiting for an Uber... Trying to save a little, but the Uber alone is close to thirty bucks for a pretty short distance. Must be surge pricing due to Art Basel.

I made it all the way out here to the design district with plans to have lunch and a couple of drinks at Michaels Genuine... When I got there lunch service had just ended, so the ONLY thing available was the raw bar. Not that I don't like that, but I was hoping for something better to pad my stomach for a night of drinking. I ended up ordering the ceviche, which was the most filling item available, but still not very good for soaking up alcohol. I also ordered a $23 drink, knowing that I haven't had a bite to eat since that bowl of cereal this morning at 8:00... It was called the noble elixir, and came with a price tag to match...
