MSC Meraviglia - 12/11 - 4 night - formal night?

Hi All,

Sailing on 12/11 for 4 nights out of Port Canaveral. I did the same Itinerary in May '22 on Divina. When I cruised Divina, I was told by customer service "yes, 1 formal night". Got on the ship.... no formal night, just White Night.

Booked Meraviglia, called customer service and they said "Formal Night and White Night". Divina just doesn't do formal night on short cruises. My gut tells me that <7 days = no formal night.

Has anyone done a 4 day lately on this ship and can you tell me if you did have a formal night?

Thanks!

I have not seen a formal night on even a 14 night cruise.

The white night is always there, and they even had a Gatsby night??

I was on two - 4 night cruises in the last year.

Both Divina and Meraviglia and neither had an official formal night.

That didn't stop me from wearing my Dinner Jacket on either.

I was the only one.

All the little kids thought I was someone important.

I dress for myself.

On my 4 night there was a White Night, but no formal night.

great follow-up Jim....factual 1st hand info.

this forum could use more facts without all the bias.

appreciate all the others who posted their experience without the drama some on this forum feel the need to promote.

was on Seaside Rome to NYC and there were two formal nights both with lobster and filet in MDR gratis.

Cheers

MSC has a Gala Night and an Elegant night but not on cruises less than 7 days. So no, there would not be one. We are on an 11 night cruise booked as an 11 night cruise but it is actually a 7 day cruise and a 4 day cruise. We will have an Elegant night and a Gala night from what I understand on the 7 day cruise but none on the 4 day part.
