Chops with Children Question

We have 8 people going on Anthem in March.  I thought it would be nice for all of us to dine in Chops one night.  I see that children between the ages of 6 and 12 are charged a much lower price.  But I also see that there is a sample "children" menu on the web site.  So, if a 12 year old goes and pays the lower price, do they have to order from the children's menu?  Our 12 year old has traveled quite a bit and would probably be disappointed with that menu.  Information/advice is welcome.   Thank you.     Also, currently our cruise is showing a charge of $149 pp for the Cocoa Cay water park.   Seems to be an extremely high price compared to other water parks we have visited.  Just saying.

More than likely your 12 year old will be able to order from the main menu.

 

Prices for Coco Cay can vary greatly from cruise to cruise. Keep checking your cruise planner for pricing...you never know.

Yes kids order from the kids menu for the reduced price. We took our 12 yo granddaughter to chops a few years ago. No way could she be happy eating from the kids menu. She is into sports and has a healthy appetite, I remember her ordering the large fillet, Berkshire Peppered bacon/pork belly  and trying lots of sides. Royal may have a sale in the cruise planner for New Years weekend, water park may be there.

There are 2 different kids menus, make sure you are looking at the correct one.  

 

One iscgir kids 5 and under who are free.  They get chicken fingers, grilled cheese etc...

 

Thr one for 6 to 12 who pay a reduced rate is similar to the adult menu just smaller portions.

Thanks, had forgotten that. Starting to take my Grand Daughters on Cruises, oldest Loves Steak but it's been over 20yrs since I took my Kids to Chops.
