Can I change this booking I wonder?

Hello,  I booked us about two weeks ago for the Vista at the end of January 2023. So, paid in full at time of booking.  The deal I had was one listed in my offers but I’m not sure what the name was but it did include $50 obc.  I didn’t choose the “cheers for you” package at the time because I wasn’t sure we wanted it, but now I’m wondering if I could switch our booking to that cheers offer? Not sure if that would be considered an upgrade,  and to just add the cheers package is more expensive.

I did try calling today but never got through before I had to hang up.

Thoughts?

If you’ll notice under each deal it will say “limited inventory.” Each casino deal has a limited amount of offers per sailing. Once they’ve hit their limit for that sailing then the offer is off the table. Since it’s so close to your sailing the offer may not be available if it’s sold out but it won’t hurt to check. If you’re having trouble getting through to carnival you can always email the casino host and see if he can help you. The casino host has always bent over backwards to help me.

The casino host willingness to help is dependent on your gambling history

I have obviously called the deal by the wrong name.  I’m referring to the one that includes the cheers beverage package as part of the cruise price.

There are multiple offers unique to each person that includes CHEERS so there isn't an exact name.  The one responder may have confused it with the DOU-Drinks on Us which is always associated with the casino.  You will need to call Carnival about switching offers before the deadline on the offer.  This is when having a Carnival Personal Vacation Planner comes in handy.  No waiting on line.

The “Drinks On Us” casino offer has two different versions. The most common version is “Drinks On Us for you and a companion while in the casino.” The less common version is the “Drinks On Us everywhere on board the ship for you and a companion.” If your offer is either of those then the casino host can help you since the offer came directly from the casino. If you had some other offer with cheers for free then you’ll need to call Carnival.

I’ve been cruising for over 20 years (I have 6 cruises booked next year so I cruise a lot) and I’m not seeing any free cheers deals in any of my offers. And I get just about every offer out there. It’s probably more than likely that your free drink offer came from the casino. But I could be wrong. I’m just trying to help. I hope you get things moved over. Good luck.

The CHEERS promo is different than the DOU and the DOU Everywhere Promo.  CHEERS included or at a discount is not a casino offer

No,  they said it wasn't a casino offer nor did they say it was free. It's when you book there were options if you paid more to have cheers added to your booking at a lower rate. ( Kind of like when you pay more for a certain floor or location on the ship)

Like the cheers promo RU0. Thats not a deal. RU9 is a deal.

I just looked again.  I do have the casino offer as well, drinks while playing, but this one I’m referring to is different.  I am still seeing it available.  It is code RU2 and expires January 31st. Overall, to switch to that “Cheers” offer versus the obc offer we have adds $250.  For two adults on a 7 day I feel that is pretty decent. We are not huge drinkers but I do like the specialty coffees at the cafe as well.

We were able to do this very thing for our B2B cruise on the Mardi Gras last February. Both my husband and I had the RU2 offer, so we each were able to Cheers to both cruises for just a couple hundred dollars. Our PVP was able to add it to our existing paid in full reservations, she then charged our credit card for the additional amount that was due.

I emailed my PVP and never got a response.  I was able to get a call through the general line and was told I could do the upgrade, but by that point it was going to be about $500 additional so we declined.
