Mex Riv Cruise out of SF?

All of my Mex Riv cruises have been out of Los Angeles.  I have come to expect the embarkation day and first At Sea day to be cold -- and the last two At Sea days as well.  If we sail to the Mex Riv from San Francisco, should we expect the first three days and the last three days to be cold?  

 

For warm weather/beach-like weather, I am thinking a seven day cruise from L.A. might be better than a 10 day SF cruise.  What are your experiences?

Royal Princess does a 10 day out of San Francisco.  It sure what other lines might do one too.

Yes, Royal P does 10 day Mex Riv out of SF.  Ruby P does 10 day Alaska out of SF.

We are going on Royal on March 2nd. I remember when we did the itinerary too,Hawaii it was chilly for 2 days. We hit the pool deck to sun by the third day.

Thanks, fluffy!  My only cruises out of SF were northbound to Alaska, not “sun and beach” cruises.
