Oceania suite 12012 vs 11083     Which one would be better for a crossing?  Just looking for another thought from someone who has sailed in both.  thanking you in advance.

Since 11083 is under the Terrace Cafe, there could be a noise issue from above as they prepare for meals. Also some aft motion and engine vibration. We have not had that room but have had a forward Oceania Suite and loved it. 12012 is great and we have joined other guests in this room, no issues at all. No guest noise and we did not experience any motion of the ocean issues. Our TA’s have been on Riviera and Marina and they have been wonderful. Mother Nature can throw a curve ball so there are no guarantees.  We spend a lot of time doing activities, (DW is a Needle pointer annd painter) adjacent to deck 12 or in Horizons, etc so IMHO, it’s a major Ditto for 12012.

Enjoy your TA,

Mauibabes

FWIW, we had 11080 for a TA in 2014. Some noise from above early morning when they were arranging tables and chairs, sliding across the deck. Also some vibration when maneuvering to park. Would I select that cabin again.....in a heart beat. That balcony is probably the best to be had on the entire ship, along with 11083. Our next TA, we will try the Vista Suite. In any case you will love the crossing.

12012 is larger than 11080.

Thanks for the answers.  We knew that the 12th floor are a little larger but since we usually take a PH this would still be much larger than most times.

I like deck 12 OCs for their convenience as you can just walk out to a plethora of venues: TC, Waves, Waves bar, pool, ice cream, new pizza place; and stairs are just outside the hallway door and up one deck to the spa, fitness center, and spa terrace, and just past the pool and up the stairs to barristas, library, Polo Grill, and Toscana.  Because of that I've never had a desire booked the deck 11 OCs.

Ship Marina or Riviera???    Reason the Marina cabin needs work..

We were in 12012 in January.

We loved the location -- quick to waves and Terrace and had a great butler.

Front of the ship,  You will feel the motion of the ship more (being high and in front) and we had some rough weather.

It was a quiet part of the ship.  No through traffic as only guests in the 6 suites will use the hallway.

Specifically for Marina --

Lots of little issues, like veranda slider that would not open.  Hot tub on the deck had a broken pump (they did not have a replacement), cabinet doors on the bar that would not close and would swing open in the middle of the night during rough seas.  None of these were fixed during our 21 days.  Thought the decor was rather old, hallway was dark and dreary.  Obviously these will be fixed when dry dock happens and Riviera has already had its facelift.
