Gamblers: No need for CruiseNext anymore. Now there's CasNext

My Certificate didn’t “say” it but I was also told that multiples could be used for TripleUps.  That promotion was going on during the March Bliss sailing in March, but I was “told” the CasNext definitely COULD be combined with CruiseNext.  Very strange.  My friend just got off the Dawn less than 3 weeks ago and her CasNexts also don’t have any expiration dates on them….sounds like not all the ships are using the same templates for the CasNext Certificates -  I guess I’ll have to call. Thanks.

On my last cruise I won over $2500.  Mostly at the poker table against people who were not very good at the game.  Got $400 on my account the first night and never got a second advance the whole cruise.  Went home with 2800 in my pocket after tipping my cabin steward and many other helpful crew members, including the chef in the Local, Great Breasfast!

I've been known to clear a few poker tables as I typically win...a lot. I've always wondered how the players on a cruise are. Are they just dumbies looking to have a good time? Or do they know how to play? If they are dumbies..well maybe I should join the table! Not sure what that says about me. 🤡

I think we've had this conversation before.  I play cash games.  I don't like rebuys....particularly NCL's.  Anyone can rebuy to the point where they can "buy" the tournament.  That said, I won two tournaments on Celebrity (no rebuys).

As mentioned, I play in cash games on NCL.

I think we've all played enough to know who is or isn't an easy "mark" at the table.  They fall into 3 categories...

1.  The ones who sit down with their "lucky charm", the sunglasses and the "attitude".  Those guys are usually the ones who leave first.

2.  The ones who sit down with a mound of chips they bring with them.  They're the 2nd ones who bow out on any given night.

3.  Then, you have us grizzled grinders who pick our spots to bluff and to shove and put out the posers early to get to play with the others just like us, who are there for the duration.

Grizzled grinders. I like it haha!! But, I think I'd prefer categories one and two. If I ain't making money, gambling ain't fun. 🙂 I especially like those that have mounds of chips who haven't a clue what they're doing. I'll clear them from the table all night long (well, at least I certainly hope so).

Truth is, I've never played poker on a cruise ship. Only in Vegas, Atlantic City, and our local indigenous casino (Turning Stone). And it's been quite some time since I did anything but a slot pull onboard.

I don't like losing my money.

One thing I learned a while ago.....it's called gambling for a reason.  The house always wins.  If I can whittle down the house's odds, that's the game I'll play.

I'm not a slot guy.  So, I stick to cards....Black Jack, 3 Card Poker, Hold'em....sometimes Caribbean Stud (where available).

If I come home not losing any, that's a win for me.  If I'm on the "plus" side with winnings, I feel like I deserve cake for breakfast.

My certificates also say you can use two if it meets criteria for DoubleUp, and three if it meets criteria during a TripleUp promo.  It specifically says you can't use with CruiseNext.  Again, it would be great if T&Cs are changing for CASNext, but I wasn't told anything different.

I understand if I were doubling up 2 CNs that I shouldn't be able to add CASNext to that.  But it would be really nice if I could double up between the two (i.e. using one of each) 😞
