Deluxe on Discover is a "love seat" not a sofa.

The cost is higher for the mini suite, but the bathroom is soooooo much better.

I would love to try a "suite" but pocket book will not allow it.

A love seat is a type of sofa.. it's not a chair or a chaise or such.. It's a sofa, albeit a small one, and in a 4 person Deluxe Balcony, it's a pullout sofa bed.

We have a deluxe balcony in the Sky in June.  I’m happy with a love seat. We decided since this a long cruise (2 weeks)we would spend the FCC on dining venues and excursions rather than the mini suite. It was a tough choice for me to give up club class dining, though.

We prefer hanging out in common areas during sea days.  We'll take a book, have something to drink, and enjoy people-watching.  As such, we generally book standard balcony rooms and spend extra money on other indulgences.  But I realize that's a personal preference and not for everyone.

For us, it is soooooo worth the extra cost!

depending on the "extra cost" - we like to spend time in the casino, I get to spend more time if I don't upgrade, but still love the mini.

Does anyone know if the sofa in a Category MB Mini on Caribbean Princess is a sleeper sofa?  Dolphin deck.

If I'm not mistaken all of the sofa's in Mini-suites are sleeper sofas.  At least that has been our experience having been in many Mini-suites on most of the Princess ships.

Thank you!  I thought so, but in the booking process it mentions "upper berth".  I've only been in one mini before and that was on Sky Princess.  That sofa would have pulled out.

Some Mini-suites also have an upper berth (pull down from the ceiling) to sleep 4.
