Looking for specific description for a deck 8 balcony (near the elevators around 8104area).  They look like the balcony may be spacious, but is end to end ship view limited by the “hump”?

Yes, those balconies are more spacious and yes, end to end viewing is limited by the hump. If you want full end to end viewing, you'll need to grab a cabin that is in the center of the hump.

8594 and 8596 are the cabins you want for full end to end viewing. The balcony size is the same as most of the others on the ship, but the view is better than the large ones next to the elevators.

The two cabins on each end of the hump on the elevator side are somewhat "cave-like" in that they are deeper than any of the balconies on the other side of the ship, and you really only have a clear view in one direction - either forward or aft depending on which side of the elevator bank you are on.

We had one of these cabins once and didn’t care for the balcony for the reasons you described. I’d prefer a “regular” balcony any day.

We have those 2 cabins on an Norway Cruise from Amsterdam. 🙂
