Coffee card

Dude.  Do the math.  You get 15 speciality coffees for 36 dollars including tips.  That's 2. 50 percent specialty coffee.   Go to any land based coffee location and they can rant from 5 to 7.50.   It's not complicated

DUDE, no one here is cruising Princess. No one here can get the $36 PRINCESS coffee card.

Dude, read this forum with regularity.  Sometimes the baristas will punch the card twice if you order a Grande specialty coffee.  That's $5 a drink.  It is complicated because Royal is consistently inconsistent.

Grandes or large are upwards of 8 dollars.   Even if the punched your card twice.  That's 7.  7x8 is 56.00.  You paid 36.  Ummm no brainer

Post all the screen shots you want.  We are telling you that the baristas will sometimes punch the card twice for larger (Grande sized) drinks which changes the math by half.  This is a known Royal Caribbean fact.  This has been discussed on this forum thousands of times. With hundreds of examples sited.  You didn't even know what forum you were posting on when this thread started.  You're just embarrassing yourself now.

Yes.  That's because people add shots.   Every place in the world charges you more for extra shots and each royal ship is different. You still come out ahead.  And it includes gratuity.

No, you don’t always come out ahead.
The math on the punch card, is intended to create the same revenue regardless of how the consumer “pays” for the drink (punch card VS room charge)

Each punch is worth roughly $2.50. You can get a large cappuccino at the cafe for about five bucks

Also, NO, gratuity is not included in the price on your screen shot, so add 18% to that $31

If you actually went to the bottom of the RCCl website, it says gratuity included. A total of 36 dollars and change.   Your average drink for a latte to machiatto is 5 dollars.   5 x15 is 75.  You paid 36.  Hmmm.

A grande latte on a Royal Caribbean ship the last time I was on it was $4.50 plus 18% gratuity.  Two punches comes to $4.87 with the gratuity added.  You come out ahead if you use all 15 punches, by $3.82.  Due to the fact that there is an odd number of punches there is a chance you leave a punch behind, further diminishing the value.

Go ahead and buy the card but to suggest it is a "no brainer" means you don't know much about the card and don't have much in the way of experience with Royal Caribbean.

But please continue to post screen shots, they're entertaining.

They only double punch your card if you add shots.  If you order it as is specified, you get 15 4 to 5 dollar drinks.  Tips are  included. PS.  Who leave behind a free drink.  It's also up to the ship to charge  you for extra shots.   Enjoy your day.  If 31 dollars upsets you, I don't know what to say

Right of Royals website.   Wow

The ability to post a screen shot is completely diminished when one has zero comprehension as to what they have posted.

ALL of us that cruise Royal KNOW for a FACT that you DON't get 15 drinks with the card.

You get 15 shots of espresso.

MANY of the drinks, when ordered "as specified" (your words) come with multiple shots of espresso, therefore MULTIPLE punches.

The BEST you can hope to do with the card is come out $4-$5 ahead IF you are strategic with your ordering.

NOT worth the hassle

The ship losing your ordered coffee card, maybe, you getting specialty coffees without using your D+ drink vouchers, unlikely.

No this has nothing to do with the D+ drinks. We've always got free coffee in the Diamond Lounge, but

this TA had 700, about 1/3rd of the ship being Diamond or Diamond Plus, so they opened up the coffee

shop to the Diamond Members.. They had also done this on my previous TA on the Harmony of the Seas the previous Nov 2021. I hope the same happens on the Oasis of the Seas on the TA in April, 2024.
