CruiseMelissa Posted July 23, 2023 #1 Share Posted July 23, 2023 Can you mix and match from both menus on any given night? Or do you have to do all four courses from the menu you choose?
phoenix_dream Posted July 23, 2023 #2 Share Posted July 23, 2023 My understanding is that you stick with the night's menu, unless you have dietary restrictions in which case you need to notify them ahead of time
cruiserchuck Posted July 23, 2023 #3 Share Posted July 23, 2023 You can mix and match. I did on Solstice in April.
CruiserByHeart Posted July 23, 2023 #4 Share Posted July 23, 2023 Not a silly question at all 😃 We enjoyed the culinary creations of the quirky small guy onboard the Reflection a year ago. Before the dinner show started, or server asked if we wanted the set menubor substitute any dishes. DW opted to substitute some of the dishes. We just asked right there and no problem getting the substitutions, which were all in an alternative menu offered. Only drawback was that the video show did not reflect the substitutions so the dish prepared by the little star chef before or eyes did not match the dish served by his IRL assistant in the galley.
MarKay525 Posted July 23, 2023 #5 Share Posted July 23, 2023 (edited) Hi - we've been to Le Petite Chef several times on various ships and were given the option of ordering off the "regular" menu or the alternate menu with no restrictions. (Menus are printed on opposite sides of the same piece of paper.) As CruiserByHeart said, if you order off the alternate menu, your food will not match the video image when the dish is set in front of you. If you have special dietary restrictions, then that is a different issue. Edited July 23, 2023 by MarKay525

We reminded them when we sat down and it was fine as they had already prepared a dessert as I couldn't have either of the two offered, and organised alterations to any of the other dishes necessary for me (GF sauce instead of the normal one, baked potato instead of mashed as I can't have lactose etc) They were very good as long as they knew beforehand.
