sports betting

It was not on the Caribbean in May or the Enchanted in July. My guess is they were losing a lot of money. Every cruise I would end up being ahead of 15k-48k purely betting on the mistakes the bookmaker would make. Some of the lines would be off by a ridiculous amount. Wish they kept it.

On the Discovery now and there is no online sports betting.  Does anyone know if it has been terminated fleet wide?

I haven't heard anything about such a thing, but I'll follow along just in case someone finds out something or there's a press release.

Wait. What?  They did their own handicapping, not relying on third party odds makers in Las Vegas something?  That seems nuts.

Yes, I'm from Vegas, and I worked in the industry. I would compare the lines on Vegasinsider, and they were so far off. So I would just bet a bunch of straight bets, then mix parlays in between. Some NBA games the spread would be off by 4-7 points. They would mix up the + and - on MLB as well.

It's a shame to hear about the absence of online sports betting on the Discovery. It could indeed be a fleet-wide decision, but it's worth verifying with the cruise staff for confirmation. Perhaps there are alternative entertainment options available on board to make up for it.
On another note, while you're enjoying your time on the cruise, have you considered exploring other activities like onboard sports screenings or participating in ship-wide tournaments? It could be a fun way to pass the time and still enjoy some sports excitement. And if you're a football fan, maybe keeping up with Manchester United's latest matches could add some extra thrill to your cruise experience!
