Celebrity cruise booked with T/A with a deposit

I normally book my cruises from the website, When I see a price drop can I contact Celebrity and request new price?

No. You will need to go thru your TA for that.

If you booked on the Celebrity website then you contact them for a price drop if it is before final payment.

If you used another website to book you have call that company for price drop.

I saw that.  That was muddied in the  post when it said “normally book on the website”. Which is why my response addressed booking both on the X website and other website. Sorry if I was messed up.

When you transfer or book with a TA they then own the reservation and must be used to service your booking. 

 

If you contact Celebrity direct they will advise you that you need to contact your TA.

about the upgrading/move up part of your question: You can pay to upgrade your room after final payment.  You will pay the difference between what you actually paid for your original cabin and the current price for the upgraded cabin. If the upgraded cabin is less, you will not get a refund.

 

Several years ago, I had the opportunity to upgrade from my concierge cabin to a suite for no additional cost 3 days before sailing. This was a very rare case, but I still check, just in case. 🙂
