Don't even get me started on "upgrades"....I have been elite on Princess for a LONG time. Since achieving elite status, I no longer receive ANY deals/promos and I certainly didn't get any kind of upgrade for this sailing. Princess seems to think they have "got me" so no longer need to try. I will admit that was the case in the past. No longer. I have zero loyalty now.

I had that experience with Princess years ago…I am elite and everyone else around me was getting good offers on cruises but none for me.  (I’m a solo cruiser and that doesn’t help either…I don’t think they like solo cruisers)!  I would phone and enquire and Princess would say it’s the luck of the draw!  I started cruising other cruise lines and haven’t cruised with Princess since.

This is new! Not really sure what it is- anyone?

@ceilidh1 I believe those are the concoctions that some of the bar staff are creating. They had them available in the Double Down bar beside the Casino on the Majestic in May. If you order one of these new drinks, it gets a vote.

Check out that area on deck 6. Is it Take Five on Royal? I can't quite remember. Love seeing how you are filling these two days with FUN and food, of course. Thanks for the pics.

@ceilidh1 Have you tried on deck 7 - the Princess Live bar has the coffees. I go there in the mornings, instead of the IC. Good luck!

Yes, they have coffee on deck 5 and 7, but we were in the buffet and I needed a coffee fix. Didn’t want to swill they generally serve there and I didn’t see lavazza coffee in offer…

Hmm. Maybe I’ll try to track them down. Take Five is now the sports bar on Royal. I usually don’t go in there but I’m going to check it out now…

I remember now. Coffee and Cones on Crown! Oh dear, I don't think they have that on Royal - or do they? Only ice cream at that station by the skywalk. LOL

@ceilidh1 We found on the Royal and on the Majestic that bar on the side of the casino, was a nice quiet place. Good windows, Usually tables and seats were available. And the bar there is less busy. Not busy. Have fun!

I am buying mooncakes to take to friends on Majestic. Not a costco run, but similar! It was a request. Happy to do it.

No luck finding the elusive cocktails! The bar next y to o the casino is now Club Six and is a sports bar with big screens and a few machines. I asked the bartender and he had no idea what I was talking about. I walked through the casino and also came up empty handed. Now in Vista trying to get a drink through the app…

I agree, they don’t like us solo travellers!  Fewer and fewer perks for elite.  I board Royal tomorrow here in Vancouver.  Had hoped to get deal to have started cruise on Saturday from Seattle but that was going to be over $800 for 2 nights solo, plus getting to Seattle.  The balcony cabin I have for 7 nights to Honolulu was still available for the 2 nights from Seattle.  I certainly couldn’t justify that much for 2 extra nights.  Princess has no loyalty to longtime cruisers anymore (35+cruises on princess)

I don’t typically travel solo but never get any love from princess in terms of promos or upgrades. I mentioned at the beginning of this review that I almost booked the 4 day in crown leaving the day after we disembark this one. After all the little lately I opted not to!

Sorry for sending you on that wild goose chase. Thanks for playing along! Have a lovely El Major Margarita instead...on me! or the 24 K one. Both?

Well I just found out via guest services that the Seattle port concierge luggage service is not being offered for our Tuesday debarkation, even though our shuttle driver to the ship yesterday told us that it was. I have an evening flight and I’m not sure what I am going to do with my suitcase now. All of the few luggage storage places operating near Pike Place Market are closed on Tuesday as well.

I saw online that Nordstrom’s in downtown will check and secure luggage for free but that was in 2017 and I can’t find any verification for if this service is still being offered. Does anyone know if they still offer that service or have any tips for this predicament?

Why didn't you call the store and ask them?

I find it odd that you can get a $12 mammoth dessert with the package but not a $1.50 scoop of gelato..,

I will have a Donatello.  Hold the suckers and candy, hold the XXX, hold the YYY, etc.  It is absolutely stupid a guest could not get something less than those concoctions.

It’s been stuck on this for 15 minutes. They really need to figure this out - if I had paid to activate it I would be MAD!

There is a reason I always walk up to the bar grab a bar stool and order

Do they know you are a TA?  Perhaps that has an impact?
