I hope we make it to Cabo.  Someone in our FB cruise group said that X cancelled their booked shore excursions for both days in Cabo.  I don't think the current cruise is going due to an impending hurricane.

Not an expert meteorologist but a great resource is Windy.Com   they also have and app and many crew also use.

Currently shows the Hurricane (now downgraded to Tropical Storm) came ashore yesterday in Sinaloa  to the east of Cabo on the mainland.   No major damage or deaths.   On Windy choose either winds or waves and you can move the time bar at the bottom.   Currently looks clearing for Cabo and Mazatlan.  Looks like you will have beautiful weather and relatively calm 2 meter seas.

Hope you and @calicakes have a wonderful trip.    If you don't have anything planned try out WhaleWatch Cabo  https://whalewatchcabo.com/  I booked via Expedia "Things to Do"

Best Whale watching I have ever had.   They also give you a link to the photos and videos their photographer takes during  the excursion - for FREE

I was looking for a whale watch, but unfortunately they do not run till after Mid November. Takes time for them to get back down there from Alaska I guess.

Ship is going to Cabo from this weeks cruise. 🙂 So we should be good. I saw a similar post about someone's shore excursion was cancelled. Wasn't through Celebrity, but Viator. The vendor cancelled. Not sure why..

So today I have been a very busy beaver... I'm so going to need this cruise. I feel like I'm working in hyper speed to make sure I get all my loose ends closed up at my 9-5 job so my teams can move froward while I'm away, and then after an exhausting day in the office, I came home to do some accounting work for our small business and update my customer relation management software with all the work that came in over the weekend and place everything in the pipeline and get everyone's requests taken care of.

It's now 10:23 PM and I finally think I can breath!

Amazon was kind and got me all my clothing I purchased in on time.. But I forgot my new underwear. Amazon Prime to the rescue.

I don't know about you, but when I cruise, that's my cue to purchase new draws for me. LOL.. I don't know why.. I guess its nice to have fresh ones when on vacation, and I kind of don't like keeping them around for more than 3-4 months. Is that wired? My wife sure thinks it is.

My wife has been patiently waiting for her new teeth.. They were suppose to be finally finished on October 16th, but we are still waiting.. The dentist told her they will probably receive them on Thursday, and we are scheduled to drive out to LA on Friday!!! She is adamant about getting them in her mouth on Friday if they cant take her on Thursday.. But I'm so afraid that will really cut it close. The drive to LA is about 10.5 hours from here and that will get us in LA at around 9:30 PM. I hate driving in the evening and I hate even more the idea of hitting Vegas at rush hour.

I'm trying to figure out how I can let her down softly. She has been going through this mouth reconstruction since January, so I feel for her.

Tomorrow I will finish packing and seeing what does not need to go or go. Tweaking here and there.

I wish men can wear nice golf shorts in the Celebrity MDR. But it is what it is, so I will be packing at least 6 pairs of slacks with me on this cruise and double up 2x I guess. I will only be wearing the pants from 4:30 to 1:00AM so its like only a half day.. Right? LOL

My wife forgot about the no shorts thing in the MDR/Theater and now she is scrambling with her ensembles.

OK now I feel like I'm officially caught up, since I finished this update. My dogs know something is up and it's not good for them. They are being especially needy right now.

The minute I sit down, they lay down on the lap and fall asleep telling me in there way YOU ARE DONE WITH THIS PACKING STUFF RIGHT NOW. YOU WILL NOT WAKE US TO CONTINUE... RIGHT?

They (you) can. I wear golf/polo style shirts with dockers every evening (as recent as our 8 October Pacific Coastal cruise on the Eclipse) in the MDR since chic evenings were introduced in 2016.

@binro01  Cute dogs.  We also have 2 dogs( standard poodles) and we run a very busy pet sitting business( in our home).  After the last 2 weeks, we need this trip!!  With that being said, we miss our boys so, so much while we're gone.  We'll be packing our clothes in the garage.  We don't let them see our suitcases.

Packing in the garage is a great idea! It will probably stress out the pups a lot less. Congrats on your pet sitting business. You should talk to my wife when on board, its one of her dreams to operate a business such as that. I told her, not until we have a decent chunk of land.

OOOOOOPS! It's late and I'm tired from doing yardwork all day. At least that's my excuse for misreading and I'm sticking to it. Sorry @binro01. You can on the first evening.

Not a problem. I hear you on the first night. Luggage delays and all that.

Well, I didn't finish packing, so that's one more thing I need to do tomorrow, in addition to going to the bank to get my various denomination of bills for tipping cash while on board.

What's your standard break down?
I usually bring 100.00 in singles to throw around to people who run for our drinks, and the bartenders if I'm sitting at the bar. about 15 five dollar bills , and about 10, 10s. Outside of my normal extra tipping for my room steward, waiters, etc.

I have been thinking about playing a bit more in the Casino on the craps table, trying to score a "free" cruise. I think I found a system that might rack me up a decent amount of points and protect my bankroll a bit. We will soon find out. I'm not a huge gambler and once I feel like I'm board I stop. I'm not the kind of person that can just zone out. I like math and watching people, so poker is more my game, but I have a hard time dealing with the Rake in poker on ships, and you just do not get any comp points what so ever.

I did not get a tremendous amount of sleep last night so this is going to be a short one. Since I will be manning my new DJI pocket 2 camera I have been falling down the YouTube rabbit hole figuring out all the cool things I can do with this camera, and my sleep is suffering.

I also just got my wife a DJI OM 4 SE phone gimble to take additional video that I can edit together to come up with all sorts of vlogs, shorts, pics for this live as well as my growing YouTube community.

When I was in college I was behind a mic a lot for both gigging and in radio. I was also very into photography for a long time. So this YouTube thing hits my creative buttons pretty nicely. Now I just need to find a good group of people to play some music with on a regular basis.

Trying on clothing is telling me I have gotten way to heavy again. I was pushing 400 lbs. not to long ago and dropped about 85 lbs. and now I almost gained it all back. Shows you what happens when you stop walking.

I need to find just 90 minutes a day to move my fat butt around more. I want to be cruising till my 80s so this weight needs to go. It's been a struggle my whole life. I love my bread and pasta way to much.. Oh and cheese, and steaks, and ... I guess I like everything. Dang you expanded pallet!

I guess I will leave you with a pic of the dinner I made tonight. Made from scratch Fresh Pesto Tortellini. Didn't have the time to make the Tortellini by hand, That's a good 3 hour adventure. I wonder if we will have a pesto on the ship, and I wonder if mine would be better. It usually is vs most restaurants here in Utah, but it is Utah...

We have a gal  staying at the house with them, we watch her dog on tuesday and thursday for day care and I just keep a running tab and deduct that from when she stays with our boys.

We use packing cubes so it's easy to bring them outside.

good plan.. when we had our cats, we had a great pet minder..a retired vet tech.. she came twice a day..played with them, fed them and sent us pics!

our last cat travelled with us to Fla every winter.. loved the lanai.  Sadly, we eventually had to say good bye.  For now no pets. If we adopt..we'd get a senior cat..like us!

Hope you have a great cruise!

I hope it stays that way for our trip.

Am following along, as well. Looks like it will be a great cruise and one that we may consider as we've not done the Mexican Rivera. Also, interested in all aspect of your experience to include how you fins the condition of the Eclipse as we are on her next Sept for NE/Canada RT from Boston.
